    Or they could just ASK the doctor instead of telling them what to do as you implied.

    Don't ASK your doctor for specific labwork either. WebMD is not an appropriate substitute for medical school and 3-8 years of residency training.

    None of the MDs I know are rude enough to tell other MDs what to order for them if they are a patient. Even they politely ask.
