I've been considering buying tickets to one of the two San Francisco shows... probably the 2nd night, July 16th. Last night is always best.

It's frustrating the limited number of places and shows they play. I'd drive anywhere in NC, but the closest they come is ATL or DC. I went to Dear Friends in ATL awhile back.

^ This, but I will probably go to the Wolf Trap one as I can stay with people down there.

I saw Dear Friends in Hartford back in '05, these tours are definitely worth checking out if it's anywhere within reasonable driving distance.

Also, will probably get the Lawn seats as it's beast to bring a cooler and some drinks and lay back to the music.

Note to self: Call friend now and set this up. Thanks OP

Same for me, Chicago is the closest and I made the 6 1/2 hour drive last year and plan on doing it again this year!

    With good reason.

I saw Distant Worlds when they were in Baltimore, and it was great. I highly, highly recommend it. Thankfully they play loud enough so that you can hum the songs you love without the guy next to you thinking you're a freak, heh.

I went to the Grand Rapids, Detroit, and Chicago shows last year; definitely going to the Chicago show at the least this year too. Think tickets went on sale on the 22nd for that particular show.

    This god damn it.

I went to the chicago show in December. It was well worth the 600 for the three day trip. The concert was amazing. And Susan Calloway, the vocalist they use for most of the stuff now has an excellent voice.

I recommend going if possible. Also they mentioned at said concert they were going back to baltimore, in which case I'll be going as a friend of mine lives down there. They just need to announce a freakin date. D:<

Edit: New cd comes out next month. I'm downloading it once it's up somewhere because I know at the next concert I'm gonna end up buying the physical copy. Also, get a t shirt if you can, it is now my favorite shirt ever.

I went with Tear to chicago but man I don't want to go super far just to see them. It shouldn't be too hard to go to the greatest city in the world.

I am definitely going to the 16th show in SF, but how do I know which ticket is for the Meet/Greet and which are for the actual Orchestra? It's somewhat vague on this symphony.org site... I must have a photo with Nobuo.

I'd assume whichever cost the most is meet/greet. For chicago it was 65 for good seats, 150 for meet/greet iirc. But, it also had a little thing saying it was meet/greet. So not sure. Does the place allow you to call orders in?

Oh nice, tickets don't cost much at all. Maybe I'll go to the D.C. show as well. Haven't been to Wolf Trap in years.

Get with me -- I will meet you irl! I plan on going to the Wolf Trap performance.

Same with you Tyven, since you didn't come to my birthday party.

Kuno -- Want to travel down there with me?
