I think it's way too soon for Unicron in the Transformers movie franchise. I would hate to see them butcher such a great villain. Oh, who am I kidding. I don't know what the hell the antics that Mr. Bay has planned are.

So here's praying to god that a 3rd one tanks with that going for it and they go for a reboot that doesn't suck complete ass in a few years. Of course that'll never happen since the majority of America seems to think these movies should be winning Academy Awards for Best Picture.

With Transformers, the story gets told and retold so many times, there is no single source to really base things on anymore. The first movie more or less did capture the concept of what made Transformers Transformers, and was a nice updating of the origin story. The second movie, story wise, did suck, but again that was due to Bay not being able to cohesively string together a story yet wanting to keep on schedule during the writer's strike.

Personally, I'm hoping the third one goes back to the classic "Decepticons trying to steal earth's resources and bots have to stop them" schtick, as it would actually be very fitting in this day and age (as it was in the 80s). But it seems like there's gonna be some sort of Decepticon/terrorist connection or something so we'll end up dealing with human villains as well as evil robots. Which isn't exactly something new in the Transformers universe either. At the very least, I just hope they don't chase down another McGuffin.

They already butchered the franchise when durhur Bay, fucked up bumblebee and turned him into Hot Rod and left Hot Rod completely out of the movie even though he was actually the Camaro where Bumblebee was a useless vdub no one really noticed.

They should just forget the first two films, find a director that is actually good and make a good Transformers movie instead of pissing all over our childhood.

I don't mind them having Bee as a Camaro, though I wish they would have made him into a different VW instead of changing to a GMC/Pontiac (which is why all of the Autobots are those instead of other types of cars, GMC sponsors the movie and getting other brands would cost too much).

Hot Rod as a vintage muscle car in the third movie would rock though.

They need to put Grimlock in there, for God's sake.

The geek world was all atwitter last week with the news of Megan Fox's departure from Transformers 3, but it looks as though director Michael Bay hasn't been sweating the loss as he's reportedly already chosen her replacement.

According to Geekweek, Victoria's Secret model Rosie Huntington-Whiteley is the heir apparent to Fox. Never heard of her? Don't worry, as her key requirements for the role are made obvious in the picture below:

She beats out other rumored contenders including Prince of Persia's Gemma Arterton and her fellow model-actresses Bar Rafaeli, Miranda Kerr and Brooklyn Decker -- as well as a host of Hollywood starlet types.

There's no word yet on who Huntington-Whiteley will be playing in the film, though apparently she's Jason Statham's girlfriend in real life. Good for him! Creepy for her?

People on BG often mistake themselves for high paid movie critics. Enjoy the movies for what they are, instead of expecting a movie to win the freakin oscar, enjoy the good action scenes, the bouncing tits, stereotypical black jokes (which I loved), and the sweet sounds of Optimus' voice.

The action scenes were shit in the 2nd movie. The only decent action scene was the forest scene in the middle. Every other scene was loaded down with simply too much stuff going on that completely distracted from whatever the point of the scene was.

Bouncing Tits? I can go watch a porno and see the tits minus a bra.

The black jokes were more hilarious in the fact that they actually put that shit into a maintstream movie and were somehow able to get away with being that racist then actually being funny.

Optimus Voice? Nothing to argue with there.

Speaking as a man with a dick that you don't know in real life, the entire plot of Transformers 2 could have happened without Megan Fox, and I wouldn't have noticed anything missing.

I liked the movie. I would have liked it equally as much had Megan Fox not been in it at all.

So, I'm disagreeing with your point that the movie sucked for anyone with a dick (i.e. I didn't go see it because of Megan Fox), but agreeing with the idea that Megan Fox was wasted camera time.

In the grand scheme of things, I don't think Michael Bay didn't do anything wrong with the Transformers. They were originally toys, and everything that came after that told a story about them was exactly that, something that came after the toys.

I mean, had John Woo done transformers, there'd be more complex fight scenes, lots of doves, and a mediocre story to push it all along. Most directors that could have done Transformers would have either downplayed the awesomeness that is giant robot fighting, or they would have done very similar things to what Bay did.

And in actuality, movie Bumblebee was originally based off of Hot Shot, who was more or less a mix of Bumblee and Hot Rod, and introduced in the Armada series. But the people behind the movie pushed to bring back more G1 names and characters and thus they went with Bumblebee as the kid friendly protector.

I mean, if you're gonna bitch about 'ruining the franchies' (of which there's literally dozens of different versions) then you should really know about the actual franchise itself.

Everyone I know irl, with a dick or not, went into this movie to see giant robots doing amazing things. Which they more or less got. While yes Fox is hot and plenty of people enjoyed her on the screen, nobody I know went to the movie specifically for her and most of them say the movie would be just as fine, if not better, without her since she can't act. There's also the fact that most sites who are discussing this incident are mostly pointing it out as a positive thing because if anything she took more away from the film then she actually added to it.

And hell, personally, I liked the blond chick from the second film more then I liked Fox, and I don't even really like blonds.

As for the new girl, is she gonna be the new Frenzy or something? I mean god damn, that girl needs a sandwhich asap.

I thought the reason they changed Bumblebee was due to VW not wanting there brand associated with anything violent. Which is why they did that thing in the first movie when looking at the used cars, bumblebee caused the windows of the vw to explode so sam wouldn't choose that car.
