In regards to people defending campaign gimps. There is a difference when someone just doesn't bring gear out because it's lolcampaign, and fulltiming full ares with 2 relics. You just don't do it ever. Gimp is gimp and nothing you say will make it any less gimp. A pld should never be using any ares besides body unless your going for some gimp ws build anyways. In fact I bet if someone found that ares pld doing a serious endgame event they would be using similarly retarded gear choices. It's like those people who think double attack > haste really.

Well it can be, just there's never really any cases where there are DA pieces that beat haste pieces (Brutal would be better than a 1% haste earring, for example, but none exists so it's moot).

My old LS leader used to fuck about in campaign on 5/5 ares and ragnarock. He just did it for show and sure as hell didn't use it for anything else.

You can say w/e you like about him abusing the ls for relics (Amano/excali/ragna/aegis), and you'd be right, but that doesn't change the fact that he was using gear for show in campaign just to fuck about.

He sure as hell didn't use that shit on anything that mattered.

He never used ragnarock+5/5 ares outside of campaign.

For events he used aegis/excali, homam hands/feet/legs and ares body w/ homam head (I think? may have been turban idr).

For merots, he used Excali/kracken with turban/homam (idr) ares 3 homam spamming kotr!

Still, however lol he was elsewhere, he still used 5/5 ares and ragna in campaign just for banter basically (or as much banter as a jp can give hilst lotting corrancy from his ls)
