The Ipad and the purpose of meaning

I think the Ipad sucks, worthless. Others may disagree with my statement and frankly I don't give a shit, but recently someone has found purpose for the $500 paperweight.

    It's an SNES emulator!

Check out the video demo here:
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dlcig...ayer_embedded#!

The man also has a website you can check out for the App and such:
    http://wherethewoozlewasnt.com/?page_id=12

All in all I think it's the start of something cool.

I'm glad that the newest technology we get is immediately put towards reviving old technology especially in when talking about vidya.

Hopefully we'll see some half-decent N64/PS2/Dreamcast emulators in the coming years, there are lots of games from that era I'd love to replay but don't have the actual games anymore.

PSP wins the handheld emulator award hands down, and it has fucking buttons to boot too.

We have to root (jailbreak) the droid to get this...oh wait no, we don't. :3

I'm sure those iPad users needed this.

Hands down, I agree with this statement. At least though with the ipad you get a bigger screen.

I swear companies would make a small mint off emulators, but of course red tape curses us all.

Plus, the people who make emulators are generally not greedy bastards.

Mac couldn't emulate SNES? I think it would be easier to name platforms which couldn't.

It involves an Ipad, so yea I suppose this can be considered an joke thread.

I mean, maybe I am behind the times, but when was the first mac compatible emulator made?

Are you connecting it to your computer, and dragging and dropping from folders?

If so, I'd like to know how for my itouch >_>

If not, you're doing more work than you should be doing for something so simple!

    So much stupidity to burn.

SNES, NES, N64, MAME, MS DOS/Windows, Commodore (Amiga, c64 and others), Amstard, Atari, yada yada there are emulators for all these on Mac OS Classic and X, and they are just as old as their PC versions. You're probably stupid if you claim that emulation is "new" for Mac.

In fact, DOSBox and DOS applications work better under OS X than Win 7. I frequently play CM 96/97 and use OS X to emulate it.

The Purpose and Meaning of Ipad? It is very convenient for travel; has much higher battery life than whatever it competes with, does less stuff than a netbook but does it much faster and efficient (in before "my netbook is very fast and boots instantly u just don't know how to twk it n00b"), very portable and overall great for e-textbooks.
