I think people would have loved both games more if people weren't incessantly critical of everything just so they can have their opinions heard and feel like they're worth something.

Both XS and Chrono Cross were top tier games. Especially considered to the piles of shit that try to call themselves JRPGs today.

Wait is killing me. Had to play a bit of the Japanese version again. It is going to be beyond excellent to know what I need to do for all these quests without having to resort to a Wiki/Guide run through a translator. I think that within the first 30 minutes I had found and accepted at LEAST 20-25 quests. Knowing what I need to loko for rather than just blindingly killing everything everywhere is going to be amazing. No need for an undub is even more amazing. Fuck I may import it down the line as well just because I want the box.

Now if only I could find a decent wiki for Pandora's Tower and Earth Seeker. No idea what the shit I am doing in either of those. =)

I wish he would have realized that when he made XS... It was as linear, if not more than FFX and XIII. I know most of the budget went toward the cs, but people would probably have been fine with lesser graphics and a bigger world.

Gameplay was ass, but when people hate the story, it's generally because it went above their head. You just can't hate XS if you loved XS, especially when both series complete each other so well.

When a video game plays like ass then in my eyes it is a failure no matter how good the story is. It should be a book or movie instead.

There is many things a movie or books can't achieve, that's why many pick the games formats to tell a story. Sure, certain aspects of the gameplay were poorly done, but the game as a whole did have many enjoyable elements that couldn't exist otherwise.

I'm just gonna say that people shouldn't put Chrono Cross in the same level as the XS games. I liked Xenosaga, but come on. Chrono Cross stands at a different level. Plus XS2 was kinda meh. I really wish the DS version of I+II came stateside so that I could try XS2 with the battle system from the first game.

There is many things a movie or books couldn't achieve that can only be done in a game. Certains aspect of the gameplay were wrong, but other were just fine.
