I was going to preorder through apple but not if I have to pay some retail price since I have an upgrade due.

I work from 7am-3pm, I'll either order it from work from whoever lets me get it @upgrade price, or stop at store after.

Everyone feels it's safe and good to have it shipped to house? I'm worried about itunes activation failing and the phone not being at my house on release day. I want it that fucking day damnit.

You should only have to pay the upgrade price through apple.com

As far as having it shipped to your house and activated through itunes, I have nfc, but if any pedestrian apple loser can do it, then it can't be that fucking hard. When I called apple today, they said it'll arrive at the house on the day of release and require a signature.

If itunes activation failes, due to high stress.......... it would do the same in the store.

So instead of sitting in a store for 2 hours waiting for activation, you can be playing a game at home while you wait!

THe only thing that worries me about ordering through AT&T and having it shipped to the store is that they said that it isn't going to be assured that you can pick it up on the 24th. I just sold my iphone 8gb 3g ($261 on ebay!), and right now I'm using a 1990's nokia I had laying around. I can't fucking stand it. No internet, and midi ringtones.

I'm getting this on the AT&T site now regarding an upgarde. The first line is eligible, the 2nd line is already out of their 2 year contract, so they're definitely eligible. Third isn't eligible. They all have this message through. Something is strange.
