I just tried this last night, was a pretty tasty and very drinkable but not overly intense IPA from the always solid Abita Brewing Co in Louisiana (wheat beer nuts should be familiar with their Purple Haze, and Turbodog is a very good brown ale).
Nope, I can't say I have, but I will look it up in the pubs nearby. I am trying as many microbrews as possible, but so many IPAs so little tolerance. :D

What's your favorite by the way?

Fuck beer - I'm a cider person. Used to live in the next village from a really good cider factory which sold stuff dirt cheap and I bloody miss it now I don't live there.

Just bought some strawberry and lime cider - it's fucking gorgeous.

My favorite beers are stouts, and porters. I like thick dark beers with good notes of coffee and chocolate.

I also like reds and ambers if I need something lighter. Fat Tire is decent but not my favorite.
It's an acquired taste. My favorite beers are probably wheat based, and IPAs come in close second.

Then I HIGHLY recommend this beer. It is probably the best stout I've ever had and one of my favorites, and you can find it in some common stores like ABC, Total Wine etc.

Agreed. So glad they have it here in DC. The light variety isn't bad either.

If I'm having beer with a meal, I'll also go for:

Football related issues mean I will never drink that Geordie-ridden muck (I'm a lifelong Sunderland fan and we have a mutual hatred tribal thing going on with Newcastle).

Black & Tan is okay, but I usually stick with the original.

Newcastle is my generic fallback beer. If I am at a restauraunt that doesn't have a good selection I will order a newcastle. Zoolander thanks for the suggestion I will have to see if I can find left hand milk stout around where I am (Reno) anyone in this area know where to get it?

Dead guy is one of my favorites. It has such a distinct taste. These two finish out my top 3 list though.

Belgian Tripels are probably my all time favorite beer. I don't mind the bitterness of most beers, but what I like about triples is that it doesn't focus on the bitter side of the flavor spectrum. What I love most about triples is the full taste that they have.

Starting out with the best beer I've had in a long while:

It's hard to find around here without special ordering though.

While not as good as the Gulden Draak, this beer is also up there among my favorites. It is much easier to find in specialty stores, and I've actually been able to find it at Whole Foods and Harris Teeter lately

Kind of hard to read: Merry Monks' Tripel

Not a triple, but special mention to Unibroue Trois Pistoles

I'm at work, so no time to post pictures, but i'll run down my list of beers that I'll drink.

Guinness, Shiner Bock, Blue Moon (and seasonal), Sam Adams (and seasonal), 1554, Sol, Dos Equis Amber, Ace Pear, Miller High Life(my favorite cheap beer).
