let uhhhhhhh you make your own thread for that shit and fuck right off out of this one
I don't really care what you want to call it. Microbreweries, craft brews, "high end beer". The point was they are investing in the smaller competition as it gains traction. Even outside of the distribution networks I think they'll be just fine.
They have pumped a lot of money into them, and for the most part have allowed them to remain autonomous to grow and experiment much more freely than they would have otherwise (at least here in the southwest).
We went up to Hudson Valley Brewery for the second time yesterday. Our first time there was a year ago and we had a terrible experience. This time was much better. The staff was much friendlier this time and the beers were great.
I've had many sour IPAs and never got the whole craze behind them. Fauna was the first sour IPA that I've actually enjoyed.
Their Hyperlight DDH IPA is also very good if they have that one around. They usually do a couple releases a year I believe. Their Incandenza Sour IPA is also really good.
We scrapped our Suarez trip this weekend and opted to do a hang at our place with our friends instead. I'll need to head up there another time. I know we're going to do something with them at the beginning of August for one's birthday. We almost ended up going to HVB on Saturday to get some beer, but I had half a fridge full of beer from a few weeks ago when we had a party.
Had this with enchiladas I made tonight. The bottle says best by 2021, but I already held on to this last one for close to two years. It did improve with aging (IMO) which is a shame that I like it more now, but have no more left.
I haven't branched out in awhile unfortunately, but I love almost everything from that brewery. They never disappoint me.

I got a growler of the Cosmic Kiss from beer place near me. It's pretty good, but I may have liked their Backjump more.
On a diet so can't down the stouts and such like I used too, still get a Left Hand's Nitro Milkstout and Founder's breakfast stout from time to time though.
I've also gotten on to Wicked Weed's El Paraiso, Imperial stout, which is really fucking good, chocolate coffee beer crack I swear, def grab one if you like stouts at all.
So I think I'm slightly allergic to something Finback uses in their brew process. I tried another Finback beer, a Mosaic IPA, this weekend and it made my throat scratchy. This happened to me when I had one of their beers back in April as well. I never had this reaction to any food/drink before, so that first night I stopped drinking because I thought I might be getting sick or something.
Anyone else tried Finback and had this happen to them? Or any beers?
If it's specifically Finback beers that cause the reaction, it might be due to the yeast strains that they use.
Victory beers and I do not get along. If I only have one it's ok but more than one of anything I've tried of them it's a guaranteed headache. I chalk it up to there must be something in what they use that my body doesn't agree with.
