Oak Aged Rye Squared by Terrapin is by far my favorite and I've only seen it at one bar in Nashville (luckily I lived there for 6 years so I had plenty of access to it). I prefer the 60 minute Dogfish to the 90; 90 min is very heavy. Dale's Pale Ale is solid as well.

I'm an IPA man also. I love West Coast IPA, and a lot of the stone stuff. I haven't tried ruination before, so maybe I'll try that next since its gotten so many recommendations.

Dimmauk knows what's up listing the purple haze. That stuff is absolutely delicious, I buy pitchers and pitchers of it when I go out

This is one of the better domestic light beers out there (well, domestic for Canadians).

    http://beeradvocate.com/im/beers/12699.jpg

It has the added bonus of not having "Light" in it's name. Making it possible to drink it and people aren't even aware you're drinking a light beer.

    Solid summer beer.

This tastes like complete water, and has the alcohol content of a dried plumb. Some friends and I were playing around with a breathalizer a year ago and I remember shotgunning 6 Sleeman Clears within 5 minutes and then 20 minutes later I blew less than a quarter of the legal limit to drive. It is water, even for a light beer.

All those are really easy to drink. Pretty much everything Hobgoblin does is nice. Fursty Ferret is the only Badger ale that I really like, but Tanglefoot is good too. If these aren't available I'll drink Hoegaarden, John Smith's or whatever ale I haven't tried before.

Wheat beer, brewed in my father's hometown of Kelheim, Germany. This is liquid divinity. There is no other beer but Schneider weisse.

Excellent choice. Big fan of this along with the Paulaner line of various hefe and marzens. I have a friend in Marburg that always brings me back Paulaner Oktoberfest stuff as well as manages to find a way to smuggle Apfelwein.

Also, the best beer I've had is Dreckiges Bier. Literally translated it means "Dirty Beer" in German, but it's half Becks, half Coca-Cola. It's wonderfully addicting, even though the head looks horrid. Also a big fan of diesel which is normally Franziskaner Hefeweizen with a bit of Coca-Cola on top.

I'm a huge beer fan, but been on a diet for a while now so haven't had a drop in months D:
Anyway, here's my list of favourites:

Best new zealand beer is Monteiths Golden Lager. This is my personal favorite beer.
    http://www.sanza.co.uk/apps/shop/pics/5423.jpg

Best Australian beer is Redoak Honey Ale - be sure to drink it from a glass instead of a bottle (or fresh if you're ever in Australia).

Of all the German beers I have tried, the best I've had so far is Franziskaner Hefe-Weisse, a really tasty wheat beer.

I haen't tried it, but many people say Beerlao is Asia's best beer. So I definitly want to try some, probably have to wait till I actually visit Asia, cause I can't find it anywhere here. x_x

On a different note. I can't believe people are listing shit like Heinneken here. I just can't drink any of the popular stuff, don't know how anyone can when theirs so much better out there!! D:

Edit: Except for Stella! Thats the only popular beer that is actually good. >.> </beersnob>

HOLY FUCK I thought I was the only one who knew about that. Hefeweisse and coke (at least in Bavaria) is called a Russe (a russian); hefeweisse and "lemonade" is called something else that I forget, except anything that isn't milk or coca-cola is called lemonade in Germany. Basically is a shandy.

I've told a million people about it and they think I'm crazy, but it's absolutely wonderful for a hot day when you're not out to get schlitzed, and was certainly appropriate when I was younger, since there would have been no way at fourteen I could have drank a liter of beer on my own.

Speaking of shandy, I used to get one up in Quebec called Twist Shandy, and I haven't seen it in years. My friend found a shandy at Whole Foods:

It's not anything at all like Mike's (which is malt shit), it's actually BEER and lemonade. But any other shandy recommendations would be appreciated.

Are you thinking of Radler for the Hefe-lemonade mix? There are also variations of the Radler with Sprite added to it.

A RADLER! God bless you, that's exactly it. You're wonderful.

Does anyone else manage to get severely messed up off more than four blue moons? I have a high tolerance normally for everything, but when it comes to blue moons I'm gone.
