Didn't really wake them up, just got unlucky with a goalkeeping mistake that could have happened to anyone, 2 equally poor teams(on the night), the worst england have played for a long time, and they still could have won 1-0.

They are 4th favorites for a good reason.

They're 4th favorites because of the names on the roster. They've got to start playing as a team rather than individuals, as well as with more passion.

Mind you, I have some emotional investment in England being a long time fan of English football. I had English coaches from the time I was 6 up until I was about 16, so I grew up idolizing the likes of Neville and Scholes.

I also drew them for my bracket at work, so I have a financial investment in them as well.

Only slightly amusing, as I agree not only USA deserved to win, given the awesome recovery and good play, but also that was a legit third goal in my opinion.

Absolutely agree its retarded how in this age replays arent still available at soccer. Come the fuck on, its 2010. Disgusting how easy it could be to solve these unfair situations... Just two fresh examples, we have this USA goal that may or may not be decisive in their pass to the next round, and we have Thierry Henry qualifying the most ridiculous french team of the last decade while fucking another country that didnt get the legit chance they deserved.

You guys deserved the win, so I am sorry about the result. As others have said, at least it will make for some really exciting matches next round. Better luck next one!

Its probably me that I am weird, never really laugh at other's adversities and cant help feeling confused how people can be so biased and hypocritical (sp?) to make fun of others when things dont work out for them or get fucked over and yet cry like babies when same things happen to them.
