I really need to know what to upgrade to make my machine run smoother when game comes out
Running Low test on that one

Low Res, obviously.
Unhappy, but confused. It wasn't a really horrible or unplayable framerate.
cpu and gpu @Wakabo
I figured I'd put my system in cause it's relatively old and should give a good indication of the performance diff for people thinking about upgrading, like myself :D
High ran decently I suppose, there was only a few fps dips, but in comparison with the low bench it wasn't as smooth at all.
Most likely I'll be looking to upgrade my gfx before launch to something 5850ish.
Since it's my first post I can't post the images, so I'll just supply the numbers for reference.
XP SP3
Q6700 @ 2.66 (Stock)
8800GTS, 512 MB
High: 1948
Low: 3529
4629 score
16701ms load time
High Settings
Can't post URL's yet so PM me for verification
i7-920 @ 4.0 ( must not recognize 3.8 to 4.0 from using turbo )
6GB DDR3-1600 @ 6-7-6-18
HD 5970 ( catalyst AI disabled )
Wonder if retail will support multi-GPU
and those scales from FFXIV seem to be quite a bit off

pretty happy with the numbers considering this was my setup since '07 aside from the GPU
Not sure about the scales that SE has posted. Seem way off.
2085 with the Catalyst AI disabled, otherwise around 800 less.. notice a slight difference in graphics. But performance aswell. Nice testing tool.
You messed up the low leaderboard.. updated Chaos's instead of my score.
Pretty sure neither I, nor my girlfriend will be able to run this until we upgrade.
My 2005 Gateway with a Radeon X1300 couldn't run the test with the latest version of Direct X, and the latest Drivers.
My girlfriend, who I bought a simple $300 Acer Laptop in November scored a whopping: 121 on Low settings. She asked me "Are we supposed to just be looking at Screen Shots, or is this like the FF XI Benchmarks?"
Oh well, I planned on buying a new rig a month or so before the game comes out any way.

Wow. Terrible benchmark is terrible. :/ This is on Low.
BTW, Nvidia users. New drivers are out, and they significantly improve the 4xx series.
anyone else get a little dizzy watching that? that doesn't normally happen to me (since like, HL2)
anyway, 2400/4400 with i5 750 and HD5770
maybe the highest settings is a raytracerOriginally Posted by Celeras
