And it's really not that broken. Rdms have been able to get -100% interrupt for pretty much forever. And they still can get it by giving up a bit of haste.

Something tells me we won't be able to hold hate long enough for this to matter anymore.

I like how you all are saying Aquaveil is getting nerfed.. When did it ever proc?? It's kinda like the rdm resist petri trait, if it procs, you are a lucky SOB.

You must have missed the 5 pages of repeatedly stating that you can get -100% spell interrupt (ie impossible to be interrupted).

Now as for the H2h... I really really hope its both hand and not some stupid footfork. I did the +dmg cause the OAT was broken, so who knows what SE has in mind. If OAT is working now, looks like i'm doing another magian. That will be 4 for me.

And the AByessa weapon damage ... WTF? Are you kidding me... Thats crazy, I'm excited about that...And they will be augmentable in a future update .... WOOT!!!

Rdm was able to cap interruption rate with aquaveil. They still can but to a big loss of haste now.

Important asterisk note:

The elemental Magian staves have 6.

The physical staves have 3. Those three are BLM/SMN/SCH, just like the Empyrean staff.

When you factor that in, the Empyrean weapons actually have perfect alignment with the Magian weapons.

Humm ok I hope this will stop the debate on Aquaveil. For having french as my first language, I can tell you guys that the french update is more clear on this part. It says: Le sort de magie blanche "Aquavoile" permet désormais d'éviter une interruption de sort un certain nombre de fois, au lieu de donner simplement une chance d'éviter l'interruption.

Wich means exactly this: "The white magic spell "Aquaveil" will now guard against spell interruption a set number of times, instead of simply giving a chance to avoid interruption."

Hoping that everyone is now convinced. As an advice to everyone, it's a good thing to check the different languages update, incase the english part is not clear enough.

Heh, yeah. Meh, rdm is still going to be able to hold hate at least as well as a pre atonement pld, and since people still seem to use plds without atonement, rdm won't be 100% useless as a tank. Not nearly as good as it was, but not 100% useless. Not to mention it's still the best tank for mobs that you can't/don't want to melee. Cures/barpsells are still just fine for keeping VE capped. And if the ce from dispel is still at least 150-200, then i guess it wouldn't be the end of rdm tanking.

magian staves have 6

therefore

the empyrean weapons do not come from upgrading existing weapons through magian

There's 2 different magian staff trials. The damage route is SCH/BLM/SMN, while the elemental route is for WHM/BLM/RDM/SCH/SMN/BRD.

I lol'ed at the time limit. They said "new areas to lvl up in" so I assumed they meant it would be mostly Abyssea areas. So were are we going to lvl up? Uncapped CoP areas? In the beastmen areas of Aht Urhgan? Back to birds? And you thought it was crowded before..

mm people complained about PLD being no good then when they nerf those spells for some jobs like RDM to tank people are upset

Rather glad for this honestly, was an easy way out yet I never thought of it
