idk about u guys, but i couldn't care less about the new weapons until somebody figures out exactly how they're acquired lol.............possible crafted e.body replacement is what's got my attention atm

Pretty obvious that they come from Abyssea, either drops from the NMs or more likely, buyable with Cruor (or using Cruor, similar to Relic/Mythic). They're not related to the Magian quests yet but they will be upgraded by the Magian moogles in the next update.

Actually, it's very feasible that Empyrean weapons ARE the extended upgrades of the current high damage magian weapons. They have the same jobs, and it's completely reasonable to think that magian trials will ask us to either:

Kill Abyssea NM X times
Trade X Abyssea Drops/Cruor Bought Items

And that they'll be upgradable with magians later because they are the new "completed" magian weapon and that further magian updates/trials are coming later.

They are there I had to refresh a couple of times to get to come up for every weapon.

if SE made it possible for all players to get them through a very long line of quests or through magian trials, i'd be thrilled. that would let us players who don't have millions of gil hanging around able to actually get some cool shit.

Staff jobs are pretty off as far as I know.

New GK is 97, upgraded Amano is 93, but doesn't have Kaiten as of just yet, or 20 accuracy, so...

The new weapons are for level 80. I hope you all realize that the relic weapons will most likely have a few more magian trials to increase their weapon damage.

Well that and the added effects on most of the weapons are nice, like Defense Down from Gungnir etc. It's a case of initial impression being good because of the base stats and realizing that they can have unlimited potential (as of now) since the possible augments aren't known yet.

That means nothing. The base magian weapons come unaugmented as well; we won't know for certain until we can get inside. Alternately, they are final form after undertaking a trial with damage base magian weapons and do not progress after being transformed.
