20 hr wait is so bogus

Manananggal spawns right when you get into tahrongi around the beginning area. He is like Shig weapon in that he is invisible but he aggroes to low health so watch out. He attacks extremely slowly, casts tier II nukes and when he hits you naked (no shadows) it's in the thousands of dmg.

What do you mean by "beginning area?" Base camp? Or the pass? Can I solo little floaty dudes right outside of the base camp without worry?

If you have some way to silence or interrupt cast they're not so bad.

I can solo them pretty easily on PUP/NIN, but Acrid Stream usually does a consistant 500~600 damage, frequently putting me in the yellow...

Just did kont and three of the ??? i remembered were at:
(I-7) asking for a fragrant treant petal, fetid rafflesia stalk, decaying morbol tooth, turbid slime oil, venomous peiste claw
(G-6) needed an armored dragonhron
(H-6) near the north wall asking for a giant bugard tusk

We were able to pop the one with a bugard tusk and it spawned Alkonost. It was some giant hippo and seemed to love spamming back heel. I was on blm and was told it was resisting physical dmg, like only 400-500 gekkos. I nuked it and did full dmg blizzard but resisted thunder. Most of us were only 76-77 but he wasn't terribly hard.

Right where you see those BLM mobs w/ the one glowing mob is where we got killed by it 3 times, so that beginning cliff w/ the blm mobs.

Popped the Abyss Konst. bugard tusk ??? NM was a hippo Huge def huge HP.

Popped him with 10 mins left timed out. was blu blu mnk rdm. think we got him to about 70%?

I havent had the opportunity to explore any of these abyssea zones yet, but for a trial i need two-leaf chloris buds, im wondering if anyone has come across them? I assume they come from abyssea and perhaps the mandragoras found in A-tahrongi, so if anyone has any experience with those monsters id appreciate any info. I just hope it doesn't end up being found off some NM since i require 50 and that'd be a pain to acquire.

This is what the official site was implying, but I can't confirm as I didn't try. I can confirm that leaving via the maw allows instant re-entry though, and saves your time.

You can warp out and still retain your time. I got the visitant status on my 40WHM/BLM, warped out and came back on my BLU with my time saved.

I've also posed the question about if the 3/4 stone cap applies only to the NPC. Can you talk to him every 3 days and just build up a stockpile?

I can't seem to find this anywhere.

Do you have to actually talk to the NPC everyday to get a stone, or do they build up on their own like Campaign Ops?

If I have to make a trip to Port Jueno every day just for this I'm gonna rage.

Can we store 3 stones on ourselves, then 3 on the npc, thus as a group do 2 sequential 1:30 runs for a total of 3 hours in abyssea once a week?

That's correct.

It's a bit of a pain in the ass too. I don't really see why SE would force us out of the zone when there's an obvious lobby type area that we can't leave without fulfilling the requirements (getting visitor status).

This is fault. You can NOT check or even look at the list of items/gears if you don't have Visitant Status (Cost 1 stone).

Also, it seems these colors we're getting are the process of vividification, your characters are somehow getting stronger as you glow brighter and brighter. No idea in what way, maybe att bonuses or something?

There's no "time extensions" in the Dynamis sense. You get "traversers" that build up by one every 20 hours similar to Assault tags and Ops credits. But since it was only the first day being launched everyone only starts with 1. Every traverser is good for 30 minutes of visitant status. So eventually if you save up for 3 days you can go and use up 90 minutes in Abyssea.

Two things to note from SE:

Three stones will initially be the maximum amount you may possess at one time, but this number can be increased to four after certain conditions are fulfilled.

You can eventually get a 4th stone and enter for 120 minutes.

One stone will allow you a 30-minute stay (Earth time), with 120 minutes being the maximum permitted duration. Methods exist that allow players to extend their visitant duration.

What's this? Don't write off "time extensions" just yet.
