Agreed, In addition you'd want to swap to staff to get the most out of your QDs [talking events not exping] so you'd just hit your SA and TA for their normal damage, use the highest damage SA dagger you can get since TPing / DoT isn't a priority in this build, and if you get TP inbetween, use it as normal.

fake edit: this is theory mind you, my THF atm is rotting at 75 while I work on other jobs <.<

Quick Draw doesn't consume ammo. I agree about Slug Shot on anything of value though.

I think you misinterpreted my meaning. If you're going to Slug Shot while also maintaining maximized Quick Draw damage (less elemental staff), you'd need a whole bunch of Cannon Shells 'cause otherwise you'd be reduced to using something like Coffinmaker and Iron Bullets. For just Quick Draw, all you need is one Cannon Shell, I know.

THF's marks is 20 points behind COR's at LV80. For comparison, COR's marks is 21 points behind RNG (and RNG has 4 or maybe 5 accuracy bonuses on top).

There have been a couple of NIN/RNGs in the post-sushi era that landed slug on a wide variety of targets without much issue.

Well, when i was doing things for Octant, i was able to land Slugshots on the Wamouras rather consistantly (though gimply) with just the simple basic R.acc gear (Optical Hat, behemoth rings, etc) and i was using Pot-Au-Feu.

Its by no means... good damage, but its possible with the right amount of Ranged Accuracy armor to pull it off.

So, upon levelling summoning skill again I found there's a cap on MP restored via Elemental Siphon (300 or 330 with spirits with the same element as the current day)

At 79 PUP, I got like 4 "Resist!" on Vanguard Crows' Slowgas last night.

    Luck?

Of course. But you also had 4 levels of resist slow to help you along with it.

Not sure if it's been posted, but my 77 SCH has Clear Mind V. I'd assume I picked it up at 76, but I have yet to test that.

Yep, Clear Mind V at 76 for SCH.

Entirely too odd. SCH usually gets Clear mind at the same time as WHM, but WHM didn't get any.

    1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 7, 8, 9 = +1
    5, 10, 11 = +2

    With SMN:

    5, 6, 7, 8, 10 = +2
    11 = +3

Also, we've confirmed that a XI roll does indeed last 10 minutes even with sub COR.
    So, uh, yeah...

SMN/COR is now the best non-ghorn mage party/mana burn refresher... by miles and miles and miles.

Too bad it's not just like an option to sit there and do absolutely nothing else, you're pretty much strictly limited to sitting there doing absolutely nothing else.

Are you referring to Evoker's Roll by itself?
    Because what's even more interesting is perma-Diabolos 5mp/tick + Evoker's

Obviously not, since SMN/COR is clearly not going to outbuff COR/x on Evoker's Roll alone.

  16. #216

    True, true.
A SMN with average Refresh-ga of 7mp/tick looks promising. Time to work on a perp.cost Magian staff for Diabolos

Yet another sign that SE wants SMNs to melee! Equip your -perp gear and everything else can be melee gear. (jk of course)

The SMN would slowly refresh MP with diabolos' favor + evokers roll, but since they aren't /WHM they can't help cure or cast -na spells. They can pop a blood pact here and there with the MP they are slowly refreshing, plus they have a big stockpile of MP to start with. Throw in some yagudo drinks (or put a RDM and/or BRD in the party) and the SMN can blood pact fairly often, or so I would think.

without smn skill gear avatar's favor would be gimp.

why would you need to cure in a manaburn pt?

Lets go over a few things:
    A) jk stands for "just kidding"
    B) with merits, the SMN would only need 7 skill from gear.
    C) your other comment doesn't really deserve a response since i never said that the SMN "needs" to cure, nor did i ever mention manaburns. g-horn bards frequently find their way into lowman groups and tank parties.

    am i being trolled?

Are "Blood Pact: Ward"s nerfed by Avatar's Favor? I don't think so, in which case Diabolos offers Noctoshield and Dream Shroud.
