Have you ever hated something, then liked it later in life?

Example: A couple years back I went to a Chipotle and got a burrito. Maybe it was the combination of what I got in the burrito but I hated it and never wanted to go back.

Fast forward to recently, I went back and got a burrito and loved it. Now Chipotle is the greatest thing under the sun.



Second example which probably made the first so good: I used to dislike sour cream on anything. Just the way it tasted did not sit well with me.

Then Taco Bell put that shit on their cheesy potatoes and I was forced to eat it, and fell in love with it. Put it on said burrito above and it made it god-tier.



Anyone have similar tastes? Vice versa? Also, this applies to anything, not just food.


Example: I used to play Softball and loved the sport. Catcher (inb4 i bet you were a catcher) was my position and I quite enjoyed it.

Now, I am terrified of the game, haha. That ball scares the living shit outta me, and I have no idea how it happened. :/

Growing up as a kid, I hated Salad Dressing. If we were having salad, I had to have it no dressing. Didn't like sour cream either, now I find new shit to use it on. Hell, i'm with Pirian, at one time I didn't like half the foods I eat now.

Back around 2005, this new FF MMO game came out, and my brother-in-law got me and my wife playing it. Now I can't stand it...

Aside from foods.. not too much difference really, at least off the top of my head. One would be when I was young I HATED rollercoasters, but now I love them, as well as other high risk activities like rock climbing, skydiving, etc.

Mostly music. When I was in middle school, if it wasn't Chili Peppers or Led Zeppelin, I thought it sucked. Now most of the music I listen to came out when I was in middle/high school. Superdrag is still one of my favorite bands.
