Echoing the Volvo XC90. It is the only option for SUV. Safety, comfort, reliability, technology. Don't think twice. Max out the options and enjoy life.

But the gf is driving the suv daily, I want to spend the money on my whip T_T.
I'll look at it, forgot Volvo was a thing. For that money though is it better than the luxury brand SUVs?
We almost got a Honda CR-V last year. Was really nice but the passenger side vibrated too much while idling which is supposedly fixed now.
Make those moose prance!
Xc looks great, but I'm afraid if I get it my family is going to ask why my girlfriend isn't pregnant yet. So scurred
My wife is getting the Buick SUV (ENCORE COMPACT LUXURY SUV). My step-dad has always had a Jeep (Cherokee or Compass). My dad has always had Acura. The Jeep, seriously takes a beating and hasn't had any issues. The Acura, my dad is crazy about keeping on point for check-ups and every minor maintenance thing (OCD level). Otherwise, every Subaru owner I know would say that company is the best.
Get a Cherokee srt.
Top Cherokee trim is the Trailhawk, gotta go to Grand Cherokee for the SRT
Yeah that's what I meant. I was looking at one today for 72k.
And by looking at one I mean I walked past it in the show room while picking up the plates for my ram.
Spent the weekend driving this https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/2016...7ca5d2b109.jpg
And I definitely think you should get one.

Assuming you have a main/sub-panel in your garage, you can DIY install a NEMA 1450 outlet to fully charge a Tesla overnight for as little as ~$30 in parts, price dependent on the length of the circuit. Pulling an electrical permit is extra of course, but it quickly pays for itself when your incremental cost for 'fuel' is $.03/mile.
Oh it's def worth it in the long run, but I'm still renting atm. House is coming next after we get cars that aren't about to break down, and I pop the question.
Unless I get Hamilton tickets first. Pretty sure she'd take Hamilton tix over a ring.
Not sure how you want to split between the two cars, but the Porsche Macan is one of the best SUVs out there if you have the dough (and don't need the space of a mid/full-size SUV). It's small and low enough that it's really more of a tall hatchback, so unless you're dead set on the form factor of a sports sedan for yourself, it'd be fantastic for nights out, too. Depending on trims and options, you'd still have $30-45k left, so lots of options left, since that's basically the entry luxury market.
IMO, Audi and Porsche are the best German luxury manufacturers right now in the $30-60k range, comparing quality and refinement. Mercedes and BMW's four-cylinder turbos are absolute shit, so you'd have to move higher up to get something decent from them. Audi's, on the other hand, is really smooth and refined.
If you want to stick with something more economical, the Acura RDX and TLX are pretty decent as well. Haven't looked into Lexus much recently because the new grilles are fugly.
My previous truck was a 1995 doge ram 1500...got it on my 17th birthday (i turn 30 next month) Was wayyy over due for an upgrade
