Whenever we amend the release on the website, it is following discussions with the publishers. Please be assured that the release date would have not been amended unless we were advised to do so. Those other companies you have mentioned are not gaming specialists so might not have implemented changes as swiftly as our website. Please be assured that all retailers will have the same release and if there is an error or communications problem with the publisher it would be remedied prior to the launch.

Kinda shit it's being pushed back but guess there's nothing we can do but wait and see. In fairness I didn't think it'd be out until November/December so not too bad. Wonder if any US or JP sites are doing this, Europe being left behind once again! Hoped they might have tried to keep all regions on par this time round.

I wouldn't jump to any conclusions until wear hear it from the horses mouth. Game stores have been known to screw up more than once in the past.

It's not being pushed back... just an error on their side that Charlotte H isn't aware of. Check the release date for standard... It's 9/30 also. I don't think they would push back only the CE and make most people switch to standard.

Two new emails from Game.co.uk:

"As you may already be aware, the UK release date for Final Fantasy XIV has changed to 27-Sep-2010. Changes to release dates are relatively common in the videogames industry and are unfortunately beyond our control."

lol me too. Probably a case of someone not knowing what they're doing thinking it was an error that the CE release date was 8 days before the standard.
