Maybe I am reading the OP wrong but he didn't claim that Rush said anything. He just quoted an article that quotes Rush. If you are referring to the thread title, again not the OP's claim but rather the articles claim which is more of a synopsis of what Rush claimed not a direct quote. He didn't say the whole thing in one sentence but over the course of the entire tirade.

I was referring to the original poster (Vajra) not the original post) never claimed Rush said anything himself. He quoted an article that made claims about what Rush said. Reading the transcript. Rush just said exactly what the whistle-blower said someone else said.

Whistle-blower:

"Well, you know, those people suffered the indignity of slavery, discrimination, segregation and so forth." He said somebody else said, "This is payback"...

So Rush just repeated what someone else at the DoJ said. It's not like he just made this up.
