Were you able to make a Harpoon Lucavi?

Edit: I heard there was zinc ore. You might want to try that in place of one of the ores for the Brass Ingot.

Need more woodworking before I can make it. I'll try to have it by the end of the next test.

Did you actually get the "Sorry you're too low to craft that" message? If so, what materials did you use? I tried the mats that SE gave and it didn't work.

I was looking at your recipe list above and after all the crafting I did today there are a few things on there that just aren't right or aren't in game (anymore?). I'm thinking it should be obvious that there seems to be NOTHING you can do with copper ingots so these brass items have got to use copper somehow or it is completely useless. I'm guessing Bronze + Copper = Brass.

This should be every basic item you could make until 3 ingots are required. There are no 2x Bronze Ingots + any amount nuggets that show recipes. In order of minimum mats req but enough explainin myself:

Nuggets are base of 6, by at least 135 quality you can get 8.
Ingots are base of 1, by 210 quality it seems to still be just 1.

Animal Glue is found in Hawker's Alley

The Maple Spear Shaft is crafted from a Maple Block with a Wind Crystal, according to my carpenter friend.

The Bone Harpoon Heads are bought from an NPC in Hawker's.

The Bronze Spear Clasps are crafted from Bronze Plates, which can be bought from the guy sitting along the path to the blacksmithing guild. No idea what level it is to craft since I just found out.

so:

Bone Harpoon Heads x2
Animal Glue x1
Maple Spear Shaft x1
Bronze Spear Clasp x1

And I'm unsure of the crystal cost, or the woodworking level needed to make it.

I don't know - I haven't run out of crystals yet, since I slaughtered so many innocent monsters along the way.

The latter, because you view recipes based on the materials, and then choose which recipe after. And since different recipes with the same materials only differ because of crystals, it must show you that it's a valid synthesis before checking your crystals.

Brass is most likely goldsmithing, as it was in FFXI.

From what I saw of the Goldsmith vendor, goldsmithing will be rings using the jewels that loot from mining (lightning rock, wind rock, etc.) I only make that assumption because they were all named closely to the same elemental rocks I got from mining which I haven't gotten any recipe luck with so far.

I'm still wondering what it's gonna take to make a simple piece of armor as all I've seen so far is the gloves.
