Titanic 2 is an upcoming direct-to-DVD disaster, film by The Asylum, to be released on August 24, 2010, in the United States.

The film takes place in April 2012, 100 years since the sinking of the RMS Titanic. A new luxury cruise liner, the Titanic 2, has been christened, and is soon to embark on her maiden voyage, on the same route the Titanic took 100 years before.
During the voyage, an iceberg comes onto her path and her crew must prevent her from suffering the same fate of her predecessor.

I tell you. Jack Dawson couldn't just DIE. I mean, I'M Jack Dawson! And I'm here! I'm alive! So that meant Jack had to be alive too! As one journey ends, another must begin, right? And that journey is Jack coping with a life without Rose. It's funny because it parallels what Rose's life would have been - you know, a life without Jack. So now, we get to see it from Jack's side and I think that is very, very interesting.

When he [James Cameron] asked me if I wanted to reprise my role as Jack Dawson, I got so excited, I started to get frantic! So James and I sat down to write the script and 20th Century Fox reviewed it and gave us the green light. I think what people would like about this movie is that it's ironic because... now I'm the last left survivor of the Titanic even though I'm supposed to be dead.

The Asylum sounds awesome actually, they have made many cult classics such as Snakes on a Train, Pirates of the Treasure Island, Transmorphers and The Da Vinci Treasure.

The Asylum is known for making "serious" movies that are hilarious for being so poorly written and directed. They made Mega Shark vs Giant Octopus, which is probably their best known one. Most of them are movies based off either movies coming out (Transmorphers and Transmorphers 2 when Transformers 1/2 came out) or retelling of other stories (although, these weren't as funny to me).

The local "indie" movie theater here has showings of (I think) all their movies that always sell out for how hilarious they are and are great to just talk to your friends about how awful they are during it.
