booo forgot to post here on 4/20, had a blast though

smoked like an ounce & 1/2 but didn't do much else other than hang at the park and chill at friend's later on, didn't feel up to hitting crowded scenes this year~

Grasscity forums have some good step by step vids and guides.

Could try vaporizer as well. Easy on the lungs.

I've only done it a few times with less than desirable results as well, my friend is getting great at it though and pretty much says the key is to slow cook the shit, the slower the better as not to burn off THC. Are you using ground up weed or are you sifting the crystals off it i.e. hash style?

If you're just having a hard time cooking it, do test runs without the weed to figure it out I'd say, trial and error will help as it's a pretty heat/ingredient intensive cook (reminded me of trying to cook fudge, arduously annoying...). Just supplement the weed later when you figure it out.

edit; gonna echo vape as well, MUCH softer on the lungs~

Took a small break to get the edge off. Let my tolerance come back. Friends stops by and has some Strawberry Haze. I get a few pieces (it literally smells like chopped strawberries) and smoke 2 nugs off the vape and pipe.

Thanks. I was going to save up and invest in a water pipe, I found a store in Dallas that doesn't have them at stupid prices. Should I try this first, or do you think going straight to a vape would be better?

bongs/bubblers are nice yeah but a small cheap vape would be best if you're having any sort of lung issues. Can even order them online pretty reliably~

a tri-perc bong still filters nicely but vape is king if smoke bothers your lungs
