2010 Football Pick Ems -- College, NFL, Eliminator

We're less than three weeks from the start of the college football season, and it's time to start the games.

Standard rules for all three games:
Incorporate your BG login into your team name somehow.
One entry per person per game.
No group prize except your name on the list below. If you finish in the top few people out of all 500,000 or whatever that participate, there's some nice swag ($1,000 Best Buy GC's and the like). You have to register with ESPN.com to sign up, but it's free and you can turn off e-mail spam easily enough.
There will be only one winner for each game. If there is a tie at the end of the year, we'll use the grand prize tiebreakers to sort it out.

The game is a pick em confidence game. Every week, you pick 10 pre-determined games and rank your confidence factor from 10 to 1. If you get your "10" ranked game right, you get 10 points, "9" gives you 9 points, and so forth, up to a max of 55 points per week if you get them all right. I would recommend setting yourself up for a weekly reminder because it seems like everyone forgets at some point during the season. The first week is up and ready to go.

This is a straight pick em across all NFL games in each week of the season. I did set it up so that it will drop your worst week, so you can miss a week and still have a good chance at it.

Eliminator Challenge

This is my favorite game, and the easiest to play. You pick winning team a week. If that team wins, you get a point. You can't pick the same team more than once. The team with the most points at the end of the year wins. Note that it's NOT a suicide pool. If you pick the Cardinals in Week One, and they lose, you're not out. You just need the most points at the end of the year.

I think week 1 looks pretty tough for college pick'em in terms of the high-confidence picks. Missouri/Illinois is the only one I'd consider a lock.

I think in pigskin pick em it can involve picking with the spread, so that is like gambling or something. But yes it is lame as hell, ESPN won't even let me change my DOB. You can also be drafted at 18 so that's always a plus.
