Figured since I won the code here on BG I should join you guys on Jecht.

I originally planned on lalfell male, but I created one on another server, and I can't stand the way they run. using that slot to play around with the other races to see which I like best.

If you're getting screwed on DL speed, search your computer for torrents. Find the FFXIV-beta relevant ones and open them in your regular torrent client. When its downloaded (and it will be much faster), copy the folder it created (will be an alphanumeric clusterfuck, possibly the same for everyone, d96437e6), copy it to My Documents\My Games\FINAL FANTASY XIV Beta Version\downloads\ffxiv-beta. Overwrite as necessary. Start the game, it'll check the files and then install them. No more crappy slow downloading.

Im not sold on the name jecht, I might opt for Shadowlord if its possible but who knows. Once we do pick a final server we will let people know and Ill be posted longer with a character to hand out pearls to the BG Forums social linkshell
