Official Servers Names (As of Sep. 1, 2010)

I thought they would add Bastok, Windy and Sandy or Jeuno and WhiteGate ..

They seem to be avoiding the biggest cities in most of the games. I mean, there's no Midgar, Esther, Zanarkand, or Archadia yet.

I'd put money on Mhaura the next XI city.

One thing is for sure, anything from FFVII, X or XI is going to be congested as fuck at launch. I'd love to go with Selbina or anything from FFVII but it's setting yourself up for pain at launch.

When they close servers off due to being over-crowded, is there no world pass type system to get your friends on it? That's a bit shitty if not.

I dont mean transfer char or anything. Just an official announcement of which server to go to if you played 11 and want to play with friends from 11 you didnt stay in touch with. I remember SE saying something about this awhile ago but ive seen nothing on it since.

No.. what SE said is you can reserve you XI name with the server as your last name for XIV (i.e. Olorin Ramuh). If you want to join your XI friends in XIV you have to organize it amongst yourselves.

All those cities had at least some important role in their respective games except Istory and Wutai (apart from Crisis Core).

Myself, I'm on the fence between Mysidia and Figaro since FF4 and FF6 are favorites of mine. But yeah, I'd avoid anything named after FF7/8/10 like the plague.
