I think my guy died of a sudden heart attack. I was walking along until suddenly... he just collapsed. No enemies directly near, no mention of it on my chat log. He just went down. This happened yesterday. But today as well. I've just got to walk around in constant fear of death.

And does anyone know how to remove the User Interface for screen shots if you don't have a scroll lock button?

Is anyone else here not a fan of Depth of Field? I can run it no problem but it was killing my eyes..
Turned it off AND got to max my AA, win win.

Really want to get eyefinity going... but I'm one monitor short :< My third monitor is a 19" leftover atm

I don't really enjoy the depth of field effect. It reminds me too much of small-scale photography and doesn't feel as real.

I think it looks great and realistic. You're not going to see tiny details in a window in Ul'dah from 20 miles away while you're looking at your character or anything nearby. It's just odd-feeling because it's not focusing on what you -want- to be looking at, it's only focusing on your character. I would just like to be able to turn it on/off in game so I could get a clear shot of something in the distance if need be.

yeah i kinda like the depth of field thing although.. at a certain distance the blur/sharp focus is noticeable at some places. Dosen't really affect my fps... its like 60fps either way!

1680 by 1050 + Double Buffer

Can't go any higher resolution because 2.6 gb of video mem isn't enough :/

That's cool and all, but how good is your FPS? My 5870 floats between 20-30 fps in most cities, sometimes lower.

TBH 25-45 (29-31 at most times) depending on where I am I have had the occasional dip into the teens (when a lot of people on screen) but its very playable. Just hope at release it's better.

Everything is at highest setting except buffer is at "resolution"

2 470s OCed 825 / 1650 / 2200 Overvolted to 1.087 on water.

Ah, sounds like a nice rig. You should go to Gridania and take some pictures like that. Limsa by comparison isn't a very pretty city to look at.
