Walmart is closer to where I live, but after working at a walmart whilst in another state I can't stand going in there. I'll drive across town to our one gamestop, lol. Ours is not doing a midnight release, we don't do a ton of them. Everyone comes out for Reach though.. of course.

I'm only going to the midnight release for reach because I'm on campus from 7:30am until 10pm and it takes me an hr each way. I can't ever sleep when I get home on mondays anyway. But even if they were doing one for xiv I wouldn't do it. I of course will get it after work, but I can't even see the servers being up or being stable if they are up.

Yea I have absolutely zero desire to attend a midnight launch for an MMORPG. Especially one that's not NA based.

More than a midnight release... I want someone to make a torrent for the ISO if they get it early. Would be nice to have it installed/patched before servers up.

Wouldn't bet on that. They are removing the beta client from download when OB ends, before the client disappearing meant it was becoming useless and we had to download a new one. Plus, the retail one will be void of any debuggers etc I guess.

If you know a lot of people that are buying a bigger title like FFXIV, generally 20+ reserves = midnight launch.

Sucks I have class from 9-5:30 on release day. I'll be at the gamestop at like 6:30 to pick up my copy, home by 7, and I assume installing the patch for the next few hours. Guess I'll use that time to nap. At least I have Thursday off so I can play all day.

Just preordered at Gamestop on 86th and Lexington. They said they wouldn't do Midnight Launch cause its a PC game. Then I asked "What about Starcraft 2?" and she didnt know what to say.

I would guess the only one in Manhattan that MIGHT do a midnight launch is the one around 34th St. (The one outside the Manhattan Mall)

I ended up going with Amazon and just doing release date delivery since it's it was only 99cent shipping. Here's hoping the fucking delivery guy doesn't end up delivering it at the latest possible time like it has been the last few times I've ordered shit.

to: I'll get it that day but won't open it and keep receipt until I hear this game doesn't suck
pretty fast.
