It’s time to boil up some milksteaks or throw on your dick towels, because FXX has just renewed It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia for two more seasons. For those counting along at home, this will make for a 13th and 14th season of the increasingly deranged adventures of the Paddy’s gang. The press release notes that with the 14th season, the show will “tie with The Adventures of Ozzie & Harriet as the longest-running live-action comedy series in television history,”

finally caught up, p surprised there was no discussion on the finale. of all the ways Always Sunny has shocked don't think they've ever surprised me more than ending on a visually arresting interpretive dance number set to Sigur Ros attempting to viscerally express Mac's muddled Catholic/gay/desperate craving to be accepted conflict they've joke mined for years. it might violate Jerry and David's no hugging no learning template but damn that was one of the more affecting sequences on television this year.

I thought the finale was amazing and in general the season had a lot of fun episodes (1, 4, 5, 6 and 10 stand out for me), but I love that Always Sunny is always taking risks and doing something weird and interesting.

I think I was just stunned for the entire sequence, they played the whole thing off as a dumb joke that sounded kinda stupid but when it actually happened goddamn.
