Well, was not expecting this at all. Looks pretty great and quite the upgrade in graphics/more open world possibly.

I played PSO2 with some friends, game had a really fun combat system, I loved the bow/Katana class and the little nuances to its combat flow... blocking, timing shots, etc. I really enjoyed the Skill-Tree and Sub-Job system when leveling up too, as well as how you obtained new Arts and could level them up as well. I know at endgame this kind of system might become a min/max nightmare but It still felt very fun. The boss battles were fun and exciting too, and running into big ass Mini-Bosses randomly across the small worlds you explore was neato. It was engaging as heck.

It did a lot to make those little worlds feel alive, but It just left me wanting a more open experience. I didn't like how you basically had a "Hub" Stations and every area you went too was a glorified Mario 64 painting where you just ran to the end to fight a boss, a world existing in its own limited. empty scale (though some of the worlds were effing beautiful, like the Bibiki-Bay type one).

So an Open World PSO2? Sign me the fuck up

Glad nothing important carries over. Really just cosmetics because who knows what stats the gear will have. May as well be PSO3 with an "import" character creator. Should be fun.

So this version of the video has a bit of censorship. During the Japanese character creation segment, characters start out in their underwear.
