back again with my stupid ass questions. i got that same email, i hadn't been in the earlier beta, are there any links to download the client on those pages or does it sound like that's not even available yet? i'm in the same boat, just using Chrome's translate. everywhere i ended up looked like it was about net cafe promos and bonus items.

Yes. It's a stress test to see if they licked the issues that popped up during closed beta.

guys start up your closed beta clients if you haven't yet, it'll auto update for the POBT after that click the "update client" button which is the 3rd option from the top on the launcher. i'm sure the servers will be flooded the second they open.

That patch is a good 2.5GB so if you wait, you may very well miss the boat.

Not really sure though I wouldn't fret over the thing coming up since it's only a couple days and is only 5-6 hours at a time. Assuming no major hiccups, they plan to move on to open beta within a week.

Just a heads up: the English patch won't work on the pre-open beta. The updated translation won't be released until the official OBT is released, so good luck with your pre-OBT adventures!

I don't think it's worth it, but for the sake of numbers, it's at least worth logging on. The pre-open beta characters get deleted after OBT starts.

Yup. And I have to say this feels considerably smoother than CBT. Even on a loaded block during JP prime time. I've yet to try the desert mission as of this posting however, so I can't comment on that. Among other changes, they shifted the skill trees around a bit. Unfortunately they also took out the option to disable the swear filter.

Woke up about fifteen minutes before servers came down, thinking I could make it through character creation and tutorial before then... servers came down right before I finished. :(
