I've seen some of the early episodes of Seinfeld but they were pretty flat. Some people know how to create within the parameters of an unsupportive network (like Newsradio for example) and some shows never get there. Plus today they would not at all be given that chance to develop. Most network television shows would get canceled well before they had a chance to really explore the boundaries of comedy. I feel like Running Wilde could settle into something gratifying, but I felt like the first episode was pretty average. It hit all the points that it needed to hit, but that's the same reason I wasn't big on it.

The Russo brothers, who directed most of the big episodes of AD, as well as the pilot of this show and written/directed episodes of Community are pros with meta humor so this bodes well.

I've watched the AD series on dvd at least a dozen times now, have been loving community starting a few eps in and now I know why. I REALLY hope Wilde follows that tradition but after that god awful animated AD reunion show I am very cautious.

P.S. Zarak, lose the little girls hot n' bothered out of context sig ffs...

Also, fun fact, Sit Down, Shut Up, is actually a remake of an Australian live action show (and I didn't think it was so bad).

Anyone been watching this lately? I didn't really like the first episode, but the last two I've watched have been hilarious. Especially with David Cross, they seem to be making AD references(or I'm trying to make connections too much). Really liking the show now.

The show seems lost IMO. It started out with the little girl being the narrator/ a main character, already in ep 3 she has less than 2 mins of screen time... The show isn't bad, but just barely. Really waiting for improvement.

I feel like it has potential. The cast is great, but the writing is unfocused. They keep setting up brick jokes, but don't leave them hanging until later, they drop them right away.

yeah tbh I don't see it getting picked up, which is sad. that Raising Hope show that comes on before it already got a back nine order

I like it too, but yeah.. I don't see it getting picked up sadly. Raising Hope isn't bad either.

They aired what was clearly episode 2 originally as episode 5...

Great potential, but it feels like the show is getting re-tooled every episode.

All the FOX shows last night were repeats (Glee/Raising Hope/Running Wilde). RW hasn't gotten the axe yet, and I think the reason for the repeats was because of planning for the MLB playoffs.

Wilde wasn't a repeat, It was just ep 2 aired as ep 5(as shown on HULU).
