Grid's starting quest name was changed too. It's now Souls Gone Wild.
yea it is sharing, i meant 8 local + 8 battle/field
UI lag seems pretty much the same to me. In fact the whole game is virtually indistinguishable from beta so far.
Watching that jp live stream, the ui isn't sluggish like open beta.
Is anyone else unable to turn down sound effects volume via config? No matter how low I put it the noise level remains the same.
me too
You didn't get long pauses (like 20 secs) when you open the equip menu, or even longer when selling items to npcs? Near the end of OB I started getting battle lag which I didn't have before then. Server was Rabanastre.
I still get UI lag when I run windowed, same as I did in beta, even with reduced buffer size.
Also, Spirit dart can now miss, not happy about that D:
if no one said it yet, the escort quest is fucking hilarious in retail, bitch is running at like 300% speed
Not a clue atm, I've increased my PIE a bit and it still misses about a third of the time on leve mobs.
Helpfully you now get 2 spare attempts at crafting leves though, so you have more margin for error, and more chances at boosted skillups. I'm not sure if they've also reduced the skill required to rank up but it only took 4 leves each to get culinarian and alchemist to rank 7, I'm sure it took 3x that to get weaver that far in beta, but I might've failed an awful lot more on weaver.
Don't think PIE helps acc on that move... which sucks. Looks like DEX needs to be a fulltime mage investment. Not so bad, at least it helps with a lot of other jobs.
I just logged on for a hour or two. For an Alpha its pretty good, can't wait to play the Beta!
There are no lone wolves anymore, there are anglers farther out (never noticed them before because of the wolves) the anglers are killable though.
Prices have doubled for Gathering tools (Pickaxe and Hatchet were both 1200-ish compared to 600-ish in Beta), Bloodworms are now 8g ea rather than 3. There is a reset widgets option now to return your menus etc to their default position.
Granted I'm sure you're just trolling, but to be honest, if you ever played the Alpha, it's MUCH MUCH worse. Like can't log on at all all week worse.
Retail is fucking amazing, everything is super smooth, no server load issues, hardly any login issues, and congestion is really minimal as far as I've experienced. Hell the only time i've disconnected is because my router sucked shit and I didn't restart it in over a year. After I rebooted it my connection smoothed out and I stopped getting the 30002 errors.
