Service Ends for Tetra Master

Thank you for continuing to support Tetra Master. We have an important announcement about this service.

On Dec 31, 2010 the Tetra Master service will end. Since the service officially launched in May 16, 2002 we have continually received valuable opinions and advice from players. We deeply thank all players for their support over the years.

We hope you will continue to enjoy playing Tetra Master until the service ends.

* In the past it was possible to choose a subscription period of up to three months when purchasing, reviving or extending content IDs with Web Money, but beginning Oct. 1, 2010, any subscription period will end on Dec 31, 2010 at the latest.

* After the Tetra Master service ends, you will still be able to use your Friend List in PlayOnline to communicate with people you have added as friends in Tetra Master.

Edit: Apparently some features of Playonline Plus are being ended as well.

*Friend List Plus will continue the service.

*When purchasing, recovering or renewing a contract for a content ID using WebMoney, the contract can normally be extended for up to 3 months. However, after October 1, 2010, the maximum length of contract will be until the end of December 31, 2010.

Did anyone ever use any of this crap? I highly doubt it'll be missed but...may turn out to be slightly interesting if they start stripping the Playonline Viewer down.

How many people actually play that thing? Im tempted to actually play it just to know what it's like.

This is just one of those "who gives a shit" moments. I don't know anyone whose ever played Tetra Master. Maybe if it was free with a FF11 subscription but I'm not playing $1 a month to play a card game that has the name of another FF card game I never liked. Always preferred Triple Triad.

I played it a bit during the ps2 beta.
It's ok, but yeah, wasn't going to add a dollar a month to my fees.

I never even used the reg/1-month free code that came with the original HDD box.
I may activate it and mess around until the servers go down.

Also, someone should forward this to the VGCats guy, on the off chance we get a Ternaldo comic.

Seconded, it was really something I looked forward to on big updates and provided even more good lore to the game. All MMO's should have a newspaper of sort, its so simple and an easy way to add life to the game with little effort.

Triple Triad ftw. Although, Tetra wouldn't have been that bad if it was free or intergrated into the game somehow. Something to do while waiting for events and whatnot. Maybe they can implement something like that in FFXIV(thanks to teasing at the idea in the trailer).

Should of been implemented as a side-mini game within XI. We already have those gaming tables in Jeuno/etc. Don't see why it couldn't of been done.

I would have used it if they added game tables to Dragon's Aery, or better yet you can play anyone anywhere in game.

FF9 is on the PSN I believe, if you need your fix could pick it up for 10$
