Hi, after this new patch stuff hit I decided to try XIV again for a little. Only problem is I can't remember my ID info at all. Did they delete accounts that were started with the first week of launch but were never played again? And I tried to submit a ticket to get my ID and they replied saying they could not confirm my identification at all which is weird.

It should be attached to your email. Accounts have never been deleted AFAIK.

if Vuitton's suggestion doesn't work, can look to find a number to call them. I was surprised their customer service was so helpful and well spoken.

Couldn't find a number at all. Got on their chat support which was very useless, he told me to just resubmit the inquiry that Vuitton linked multiple times until I got the information right... lol

I keep seeing it said so I'd just like to make a point to clarify:

You get 4 leves per reset, not 8.

I'm occasionally getting a bug where all of my buff timers and skill recast timers are off by around 10~30 seconds. Is there something that causes this bug, is it avoidable? I had to completely restart my client in order to fix it, changing classes and just relogging on the character didn't work. It's really annoying. :/

Ye olde issue, some people encounter it more than others, no discernible cause, yea, need to restart client.

I thought the timer issue was caused by being logged in game for extended periods of time but the other day I had just opened the game, did about 7 synths, switched to battle job and my timers were already off.

Hopefully they can get this patched fairly soon.

Isn't that just the number it cured for, and if you were already at full HP it gives that additional message? I've been seeing that a lot lately, but I never knew if I was full HP or not before the cast.

After both cures I was only at like half HP, so that can't be it.

Is there a database site that has the new, non-Dated items? Kind of unsure what to get for low levels, is the dated gear still worth using/making or does the new stuff basically 1up the old stuff? I did notice a sharp penalty for using wrong class/level gear now which is nice, but I can't just rock a lv4x set in the 20s now, so its time to make use of those craft levels...

ZAM seems to have a pretty up-date list, YG hasn't been updated with any of the new gear (or even changing the old to dated). And yeah, you get lower DEF and no additional stats if you equip something above your rank/on incorrect class now.

For the most part the newer gear outclasses old gear by a lot, especially at higher ranks. Some of the lower gear or crafting gear may still be of use (especially if you can't find any of the new stuff in stock >.> I had trouble getting decent gear for my ARM25) unless you meld the new gear.

I'm pretty sure the second line is for status effects. When someone was slept and I woke them up with a cure, the second line said something like "Your Cure removes His Sleep."

I'm having issues with the Lv38 main scenario quest Lord Errant, read through all of the comments on ZAM but still can't figure out my problem. :/

This is the quest where Ifrit is first called out, and I get to a part where there are 3 NPC's I could parley with and 3 mobs I can fight. I was reading that fighting is the best way to go since you don't have time to parley, and found that to be true on my own attempts. The problem I'm having though, is my path companion keeps getting one-shot. It's almost as if he hasn't leveled up since I got him. The mob uses a skill called Shadowfall, it hits me for ~80 damage and it hits my companion for ~400 damage, and somehow that's enough to one-shot him. I have 1.3k HP, he apparently has less than 400. I get hit for 80, he gets hit for 400. It just doesn't make sense to me. Was I supposed to do something to make him stronger or something?

EDIT: My companion is CNJ, reading the combat logs all of his spells are doing 0 damage...
EDIT2: Searched through official forums, looks like SE broke this fight in 1.19. /sigh Source
