Whats the deal with Greg Oden? Is he "healthy" or what? God damn would it be nice to see him just stop being hurt and play a real season's worth of basketball. I'm not a portland fan in the slightest and even I find Oden's story frustrating.

He's STILL not ready... supposedly practiced 5 on 5 for the first time so he might be back within a month... but it's still questionable :/ Blazers looked damn good without him tonight though, if he can come back and play their gonna be monstrous later this year.

He also declined to sign a contract extension, so he's going to be a restricted free agent next year. I'm really not sure that's a good move for him, unless he really thinks his stock is going to rise between now and the off season. Which, well, it probably isn't likely to fall too much further, but could rise a lot with a relatively healthy year, so maybe that's what he's gambling on?

Stupid move. Maybe if he was ready for opening night, but he isn't. I mean, it depends on what Portland was offering of course, but if he has another injured year, he may never play in the NBA again.

From my understanding, they haven't offered him an extension, simply because who knows if he'll ever play effectively. That's according to Jason Quick though, the blazers insider guy.
