Just finished watching the game. Great and tough win by the Grizz. Seemed like a lot of nutty calls were called against them but they found a way to win anyway. Those types of wins, when it seems like it's 8-5, are extra sweet.

Which leads me to my second point: it was some really gritty, tough defense played...by the refs. They really played some lock down D on "game flow" and "entertainment." But I guess they just gassed out in the last two minutes when the game was out of reach.

Durant took four shots in the 4th. All of them long range 3's. When he was interested in getting the ball, he could not get himself open. Can't blame Westbrook on this one. If Durant can't get himself free using screens then he should either go to the ball and grab it out of Westbrook's hands or learn2postup. This is the number one reason why Diggler>Durant. Dirk has a post up game.

Durant disappears in a lot of games when the other team does a good job of denying the entry pass and avoiding the screens. In my opinion, this is why they got swept last year. It was easy to shut Durant down by not letting him even touch the ball.

It seemed to me that Durant only kind of wanted the ball in the fourth. He would just stand there at the three point line and hold up his hand. Dude was making it hard for the entry passer to lob it over the reach of the defender. That's Durant's fault, IMO. Plus, even when he did get the ball outside of the arc, he quickly shot it instead of being patient and work for a better shot. Hell, even PERKINS posted up more times (one time) than Durant in the 4th.

My bad. Just remember Durant having issues getting free in last year's playoffs too. Seemed like nobody could set him a proper screen. Thought they solved that problem with Perkins but guess not.

Just got back from downtown; was at the single bar still open in downtown Memphis.

Kind of a sad sight to see the fans so excited about the win but unable to do anything about it, because 90% of the roads are closed and the only open bar is forced to curfew because the local police don't want people out late due to looters.

They opened one road for the games. They've been doing this since Game 3. They open it about 4 hours before the game, and close it about 2 hours afterwards.

Why do you guys like Bomani Jones so much? He's annoying as fuck. Michael Smith is way better. Or Jackie Mac. J.A. Adande is a retard, Woody Paige is funny for about a minute, then you want to strangle him. Plaschke's obnoxious. Tim Cowlishaw is good, though.

Sorry I was absent, finishing up final exams that night. I'm proud of the Hawks for showing up in Game 4 when they normally would have wilted after being shellacked at home game 3. The emergence of the Waterbug actually has me looking forward to next season.

It was my first time watching Rose play besides highlights, came away very impressed. There were just too many "easy" buckets to be had for the Bulls just from a quick slash from Rose.

All that said, I have a really hard time rooting for the team that beat mine, classy group or not. Until someone on the Heat pisses me off I will be going for them. Should be a great series though.
