Gotta love that FF feeling.
Maybe it's because I started playing FF's when X came out (immune to nostalgia) but this shit is precisely why I hate the older FF's. World travel fucking sucks, and so does fake "freedom" when you're still expected to talk to one particular NPC in the whole game to advance, in a city filled with million NPC's.
FFX is one of the only final fantasies i never completed as half way through i was bored out of my mind
The first FF is the best FF, almost always.
I've only completed FF7 out of the three PS1 FF's, and FF4 out of the all S/NES FF's. The open world concept just bored the shit out of me, and the combat got old after a short while. Never completed Lost Odyssey either. I don't know what the fuck people are thinking saying it's the best current gen JRPG.
What does this have to do with anything? Final Fantasy fans need to learn to shut up.
Deal with it.
They put out Supreme commander 2 and Just cause 2 in the last year. Both of which are far above avg for their respective genres. What was their last good game? I seem to have forgotten...
I think Final Fantasy XIII is SE's best game so far -- especially with the way the PS3 disc case is designed. It keeps my paperwork from flying away when my awesome fan swings a burst of air past my desk. I can also use it to smash those annoying wolf spiders that crawl from behind my monitor.
Amazing Japanese engineering at its best.
while we're on the subject i HATE the new eco-friendly game boxes. How much fucking plastic are you really saving by having huge holes in the box?

Probably about as much as the size of those holes.
I dunno, I guess it just seems silly to try and save plastic making something that's not going to see anywhere near the amount of landfill/recycling impact that say, plastic bottles or food wrappers would get, since nobody really tosses their game boxes. Just seems like they're trying to shave a few cents off of the manufacturing cost, but I think I speak for a lot of people when I say I'd much rather pay $60.50 for my games instead of $60 if it means having a filled, sturdy box.
Well you can't really put holes in something that needs to be airtight or hold liquid now can you? And you might not think you'll throw away game boxes now but 50 years down the line most people aren't gonna give a shit about their Xbox 360 or PS3 games.
