Lol, loved the part about waiting 3 episodes of DBZ.

They pulled off body parts in VP2, where the position of your attack relative to the enemy caused damage to that part of the body.

Name a FF where they did it. This isn't VP Online, and SE is typically loathe to draw from their non-FF games for a FF.

I never had so much fun juggling monsters in a games. You could see the items drop on the ground as the monsters was getting smaller and smaller, and eventually exploded in a small chunk of flesh and bone!

No thank you. If I want old school, I'll play FFIV. Kain.

Final Fantasy 11 pulls a large number of game elements from Legend of Mana.

I'll... take your word on it. It's not worth getting into, at this point.

That wasn't a response to you, it was a response to Critzo, who was saying that targetting body parts with the menu would be a pain. I mentioned VP2 because you didn't need targets, you needed to be in the right position using the right attack.

Fuck yeah it was. I remember some archer skills absolutely raping monsters. Also loved juggling and then using a down attack to bounce them off the floor back into the air. VP2 was such a good game.

I'm interested in seeing screenshots of monsters with their shit all borked. Crabs with cracked shells? Salamanders with their warts popped? Ahriman with black-eyes? Cactuars with broken legs?

Also, "... or a diremite’s stinger lopped off." Diremites? With stingers? Ohshi~

Ah yes, if its not in a past FF, never include it? I personally share the same disappointment. However its still a welcome system to add a bit of depth
