What lvl were you when..

I'm curious what level people were at certain stages of the game. A lot of you describe being like lvl 15-20 at places i have no idea about and i'm lvl 34 on my main 3 guys. I've done a lot of exploring and just having fun in different area's killing things and not really progressing to far in the story.

I'm lvl 34 and i haven't even gone down through the ozmone plains yet, i'm doing hunts and trying to kill a lot of the rare NM's already available to me.

Currently my party ranges from Lv21-27 and I'm just getting to The Stillshrine of Miriam. I normally would just have my main 3 guys go off and be all super-leveled, but it is actually nice to have a well-rounded group in case you ever need someone in desperate situations (coughelderwyrmcough).

What I plan on doing is progressing through the story until I end up back at Rabanastre and at that point getting that Deathbringer sword that apparently owns so much (for like... every swinging-an-object-user I have).

My pt is currently 40-41. Story wise I'm @phon cost. Just took on my first optional esper and got stomped 3 times before I was able to beat him -.-
Had to use an entirely different strat, I actually put my controller down and gambits won the fight for me XD

Fran Basch and Balthier are all 30 for me and I just finished the stillshrine part. Vaan, ashe, and penelo are all at 23 and will probably stay that way for the rest of the game.

Level 25ish, just got told to head to the Stillshrine. I've done all of the tier I and II hunts, except for Cluckatrice...how the hell do you make it stop raining in the Giza Plains :(

Southern Sluice control place, have your party be of the 3 females(fran ashe and penelo) then run around there til it pops. Then feel free to switch your party back.

Anyways, Lvl 43ish on my 3 main characters, almost the entire license board unlocked on everyone, been working on hunts mostly though so only at naliba fortress(2nd time).

w/o any quickenings you might not be able to kill the 1st demon wall to get to the demonsbane sword chest, but that's by far the hardest thing there and it's an optional fight

I actually did it with my lower level group (20-22) and tore through it, but I couldnt beat the first wall at all, but I only have 2 quickenings total and dont know at all about how to use them yet. going to go back to the sandsea area and run through that place, its worth at least 150+ points, though I might try to find a gold amulet first (is there one close to where I am now?)

Level 30 and in Archades. I kinda screwed myself and I'm way underleveled. Basically, ever since the Stillshrine I've been fleeing through zones to speed up the story, figuring my earlier grinding was enough to keep me going. Now I'm in the lab and I'm stuck either fleeing from the regular soldiers or praying for a good Quickening combo. I somehow made it to the boss battle and unless I get lucky with like 5 good Quickening combos I'm screwed. Luckily, I saved on a second slot because the Ahriman fight was an eye-opener for me (Did Quickenings early to do just enough to put him into rage mode, burned through all my Elixirs and other good meds, and was left with Basch and Vaan raising each other after being one-shotted and sneaking in a hit now and then).

One thing I'm learning is that level and licenses mean almost nothing compared to gear. Basch is the one character that I've bothered to keep up to date armor on and he's a monster. Level 45 mobs barely scratch him, and he blows right through them. I don't have the gil to outfit the others, and I've neglected their armor licenses anyway, and they're in constant danger of being one-shotted by special moves now. Time to take a few hours out to farm again, I guess.

i just finished KRT, before i head south past giza plains (ozmone plains or something? ), im gonna attempt some more monster hunts first though, like ring wyrm, and that one hunt posted by the tavernmaster, the Milith snake or something.....

i tried goin into the garemsythe waterways to find white mousse, but everything is like level 40ish and scares me ; - ;

That's why i'm not worrying about keeping all of my chars up to date on levels, once i get my main group up to about 50-60 i'll just equip the sick gear i have on the lvl 12-19 people and put them in a spot getting 1-2k xp per kill and watch the lvls roll in.

13,180 total LP for each character plus an additional 1705 for the shared panels (espers/quickenings)

doing KRT, have everything done but trying to get demonsbane right now (god that first wall sucked, had to farm three more quickenings just to finish it) Vaan, Fran and Penelo are 25ish, rest 12-16. Don't know why everyone gives the hate on penelo though, have her as mage type with a staff and she's doing well, even doing decent melee damage.

I hate him. After like 5 or 6 tries I managed to kill him (got a real lucky 15-hit quickening chain when he had ~25% HP). Then after the fight and the "you received the esper" cutscene, his minions popped (which surprised me, I didnt expect them to still be alive after the fight) and did some Sleepga move on all my characters, then proceeded to spam ga spells on them till they were dead. I didn't even get a chance to move -_-. Now I have to do it all over again :E

I should probably come back when I'm not level 32 anymore <_<

farming in Lhushu mines early on is a good way to put some points down on the lisence board and get some levels but the truth is, no matter how much leveling you do early on you can still be faced with some difficult chalanges end game.

Final boss twice put up physical shield after I'd selected a Quickening, plus I floundered for about 10 minutes before I figured out that I only had 3 characters that wouldn't get instantly one-shotted the second I Phoenix Downed them to life (No time for Raise). Probably should have been a fairly easy fight, but as it was I had to burn through all the Hi-Ethers and Elixirs I had and was on the verge of wiping more than once.

lol... kinda disapointing to hear. Just like the rest of the FF's, if you have a brain you can beat it without even playing the game fully.

I'm 13-16 heading across the Sandsea to KRT right now. Kinda worried that I'm going to get slaughtered once I get there. Trying to level all my characters evenly, though I'm usually either Vaan+Balthier+Fran or Vaan+Ashe+Penelo. Basch is kind of the odd man out but his damage is pretty good even with just a Javelin.
