Soboro Solo SC on Fafnir?

Couldnt find any info about soboro vs fafnir w/ search;_;. Has anyone tried it? Would it work if you're the only melee with tank pt and a couple blms? Has anyone done it?

Don't know why it should be any different on Fafnir. Of course this is possible, but it's not 100% reliable. If you timing is good you don't even need a Soboro to solo SC.

honestly, i think a more efficient manner of solo skillchaining on fafhogg would be to sub drg. a soboro's gonna hit for 0 a lot, and you'd need haste and double march to hit the skillchain with any regularity. of course we've all hit it a couple of times with a lucky double attack, etc, but when you've got emo blms who want their magic burst, meditate > jump > jump's the best course of action.

Would never use marches unless i had 2 brds- Was thinkin more on the lines of SAM DRK/SAM THF RDM WHM BRD(minuet/madrigal)... the drks we use are usually really pimped out, and keep up with sam on TP (w/out med of course). I guess ill have to to test it out and let u guys know :).

And i allready know DRG and /DRG can solo SCs easily with jumps, that wasn't the question. SAM/WAR sub only for fafnir.

yeah, i had a hunch, i only go to faf /war as well.

that said, a well geared drk/sam should have very little trouble keeping up with you. and in my experience, the thfs in my linkshell sneak attack fafnir(lol i know, but not one flail) so they've got no problem keeping up with tp.

frankly, you're better off using a hagun or an onimaru(i like the extra acc for weaponskills, because faf has a habit of winging the second i hit my ws macro lol) than a soboro, and the excess tp you have, use shikikoyo to help a straggler catch up for a skillchain :)

i've seen a sam go /rng and do it, he did pretty well, only saw 3-4 missed sidewinders.

Really, solo skillchain on Fafnir with a Hagun isn't much harder than solo skillchain on a merit mob. As long as you time your meditate right, you should be able to solo skillchain about 90% of the time. I haven't been in the Aery in about 2 months, but I did this awhile back:
