If you haven't seen this movie, you need to. Fucking hilarious. I can't remember the last time I laughed so hard.

So is the commercial the opposite of most commercials these days? Where the commercial shows all the funny parts and the movie sucked, cause the trailer for this was pretty lame.

Good movie overall, some very slick animation sequences later on in it, and some good laughs throughout thanks to Jack Black's delivery.

My only beef with it was a couple spots that would have been remedied if the movie was 30min longer to expand on a couple of plot devices that otherwise felt rushed due to time constraints.

Also, they need to make a spin-off done entirely like the intro sequence, that thing was total badass.
(which wasn't even done by Dreamworks actually, but rather James Baxter Animation)

I was so pleasantly surprised by this movie. I agree the trailer looked God-awful, but then I saw a clip from the actual movie and went to see it. I thought it was awesome!

I missed the intro you're talking about, though... we were late to the movie theater, so we came in around where he starts trekking up the stairs.

damn you missed the best part. the intro was so awesome and funny at the same time.

I wish the intro was longer. It was awesome. "And his ennemies were blinded by sheer awesomeness" or something like this. Was great.

I saw it last week, and it was seriously one of the best animation movie I've seen recently. Story was nothing special, but who cares, it's a comedy.

This movie copied the name of a guild/team whatever I made in a game a bunch of years ago, I bet I deserve royalties.

Stop talking about the intro, or I'm gonna have to cough up a couple of bucks to go see it again, just to catch this amazing intro. >.>

Very few movies ever get on my "I'm paying money to see it again list" This is one of them, along with Hulk and Ironman this year so far, there might have been one a while back but I cant remember,...

I seen Ironman 2x Gonna see this and Hulk again in the next week or so.

My kids are begging us to go see this ^^; We have the blu-ray of the first movie and watch it often, so the commercials on TV advertising the sequel have made them go nuts. Haven't been to the theater for much this year, so I think we'll try to catch a discount show for it this weekend.

Here's the opening part everyone was talking about from the first one ^^

There's also apparently a stand-alone DVD done in this style telling the story of the Furious Five I recently found out about, gonna have to find it...

Saw it last night in 3D. Definitely worth the money and great animation. Still think the funniest part is "Wings of Fury! KA-KAW!"

Kung Fu Panda 2, took the kids and saw it in 3D both the movie and the 3D were fantastic, and great ending.

Really liked that even though Po is the dragon warrior now he wasn't all powerfull and still has a lot to learn as well as getting over his clumsimess and weight issues, Tigress is still BA. Also enjoyed that the first one was all comedy and this one was able to keep the humour while having a lot more serious tone and plot.

My sister, mom, and niece all cried multiple times. My little girl didnt, but almost did whenPo's mom hid him in the basket and left I admit I got a little verklempt at the end whenPo told his dad that he was his dad. Mostly because my stepdad is more of a dad than my real father. LOL

It was a cute movie. I was a little bored at the beginning but it started to pick up and enjoyed it throughout. I was grinning when all the kids started to tear up. Kinda funny, the previews before hand were showing the Lion King 3D and made me remember how I teared up over that way back when.

Wait, Disney is CGI'ing LK up? The previews I saw prior to KFP2 was a bunch of Dreamworks stuff, then I shat my pants when the Tintin trailer showed.

Enjoyed the movie overall, could have had a couple more laughs, but it seemed to trek the usual 'darker sequel' path most movie series have. Saw it in 3-D also, which worked well in most cases aside from the first major fight scene, where it's impossible to keep up with the action due to numerous camera cuts and motion-blur out the ass, which are both big no-nos for 3-D viewing.

They're taking the original and converting it to 3D is what I understood.

I don't know how the heck they plan on doing that without it looking like a bunch of layered pieces of paper.

Thanks for the updates. I loved the first so I guess I'll be going out to see this. Had no idea the cast was that insane either.
