Gamestop is still going? I had quite forgot about them
Stock memes and pandemic "i need to keep the kids occupied" spending put them on life support.
There's been a lot of rumblings lately of games not having physical releases, retailers removing physical game sections, etc. Wonder if that'll be the final nail in the coffin for them or if their shambling corpse will latch on to something else to stay afloat. I always thought they could succeed as more of a hobby store with drastically reduced locations, but they're like the Starbucks or Subway of video games. I live in a relatively small city and there's 5 locations within 10 miles of me, with 2 of them being less than a mile a part.
Surprised it took this long of releasing flops to have such a dire outcome. Sad to see more Star Wars IPs getting killed.
Whattttt
The company that gave you Apex Legends and TWO killer Star Wars games gets their star wars fps cancelled? Are you fucking INSANE?!! You're moving AWAY from Star Wars games?
Fuck youuuu EA, you stupid piece of shit god I'm starting to hate you

Uh did you play Jedi Survivor? Cause that game was and is a fucking mess, just for whatever reason reviewers refused to call out the horrendous performance and stability.
Starting to hate?
You must have a high tolerance for bullshit. lol
It's really not, it's not that you can't hit 60, it's that the frame pacing and stuttering is horrible. Like miles beyond all the other terrible stuttering we've been subjected to this year. Most are just limited to shitty PC Ports but Jedi Survivor had the stutter even on consoles.
I love my local game store because they can do things like break street date and get me FFVII Rebirth a day early but their margins are razor thin and they randomly close on Tuesdays because the owner is doing almost everything himself. His store really only turns profit on retro games and collectibles, new games and hardware he can’t compete with big box stores. I love being able to trade in a year old game and still get like $20 credit instead of $4 from Gamestop
The Respawn Star Wars game was a Mandalorian tie-in.
