By the item discription, sounds like you have to zone in during clear weather and day in jugner, clear weather during night in meriphataud, and full moon in pashhow. Can't confirm since it wont stop raining in jugner.

Confirmed this. When in a party, if you're in range of the killing blow, you have a random chance of getting the key item.

When the three of us split up to farm goblins in widely disparate areas of the zone, only the person with the killshot got the key item.

EDIT: I mis-counted, 2 ppl got their items farming near the strongholds before we formed up a pt. So, 10 seeds total from the low-level mobs.

Trading the key items to squintix does not allow you to advance in missions, it's more like extra bonuses, the key items are traded to ???s in certain zones (still looking for them) that pop a goblin NM that apparently drops the shard.

Well, I go three goblin key items: Bowl of bland goblin salad, Jug of Greasy Goblin Juice, and Chunk of Smoked Goblin Grub. I went to F-5 (used the shining point shortcut in Batallia) and found a ??? north of the Eldieme entrance there. Clicking on it spawned Vegnix Greenthumb and he dropped a key item: Seedspall Roseum. I'm not sure if the other three key items are needed, but I still kept the Salad which I'm guessing lured it out. So there are probably two other ???s in Rolanberry and Saurumugue and I'm guessing in the two bird NM areas to keep in trend with the hard to reach areas. Will try to confirm if no one else does by the time I check it out :o)

My guess is that the key 'can' be used for the mission. It simply places a time limit on how quickly you must kill all 3 gobs (obviously very easy since they're pushovers). If you win the limit, the prize in the box may increase.

I'm glad I'm doing this stuff solo. Widescan makes it easy to snipe obscure pops in all the zones.

Had to fight about 20 seed mandragoras right in the open of qufim. It said i had a time limit of 30 min, killed them in less than 5 though, again, really easy fight.

Rolanberry was THF type (perfect dodge).

Batallia was WAR type. All three were something like lv30, easy as cake.

EDIT: Sauromugue goblin is indeed up the ledge around Roc's spawn.

After the mandragora fight, I headed to Fei'yin where I got a CS upon entry. I had to look around for seed afterglow. When I got all of them, I was given an option of Mark of Seed, or Azure Key.
I grabbed the mark since I just want to do the missions currently.

Headed to Qu'bia arena for CS and fight.
The battle has Seed Goblin,Yagudo,Org,Quadav and I was unable to solo it. Just too many enemies for me to worry about. Gonna try and join a group as they come up.

If you leave the arena, you need to reget the seed afterglows to redo.

How badly did you lose at the fight, and how hard did the mobs hit? I'm probably going to try to duo/trio it if I can't solo

Tried the Qu'Bia Arena BC with PLD/RDM and underequipped BLM/WHM. Got torn down very quickly. These mobs are at least LV70, if not higher, and hit hard.

The Yagudo is WHM and tried to Shellra IV/Protectra IV.

The Quadav hit reasonably hard and had very strange aggro - when the PLD aggro'd all 4 and I got close to attempt an ES sleepga (which failed), the quad turned to me before I started casting.

The Orc seemed to be a WAR type, hit very hard and fast.

The Goblin's TP move would teleport behind the PLD and do a rush from there to avoid his shield I guess. Very funky.

We wiped with the Orc at ~80% and the other 3 at full health. The "fastest time" on this BC was a little under 11 mins with a pt of 5, when we entered, if that gives you an idea of its difficulty.

You keep the key items after you do the gobbie nms btw. So if you wanna get the key after you can. I still have all mine after doing Rolanberry and Sauromague nms

After that, you go to G-6 again and speak to Aldo for two CSes and a fight with Mandies(easy as HELL! As well, very fun if you have an AoE WS or a BLM). Need to do the fight once per person.

By the way, for collecting the seeds of light to get the mark of the seed for the Qu'Bia fight. 5 are upstairs, 4 in the main large rooms, 1 in one of the shadow's rooms. 4 more downstairs, 3 are in small rooms behind doors, 1 in cassie's room. They move at random intervals, but they seemed to stay to fixed areas.

Also, collecting them is time based but I never saw more than one warning message about the mark wearing off. And the first time collecting them I went to a lot of dead ends, like walking all the way to the Shiva zone line. This was going around with red legs and sprinters though.

Qu'Bia NMs are no joke... we went as the jobs we'd been running around for the previous missions on (WHM/SCH, BLM/RDM and THF/NIN) and got creamed. They don't sleep, but they are susceptible to at least Gravity and Slow. Didn't get much chance to try anything else before getting gangraped.

after you get those key items from the gobs... you take them to where the past mission told you... which is back to qufin.. you dont need the vermillion key thats a added reward.. squintix gives the extra content for repeating the missions. (don't skip over the CS.. they tell you what you have to do)

Recap (While I wait for someone to open the Banishing Gate..)

1) CS in Lower Jeuno

2) get 3 rare/ex drops from meri yagudo, pash quadav, jugner orc

3) CS Quifim G-6

4) kill gobs in rollanberry, sauro, battalia to get key items > use the key items in the same area to pop NM for the real key items.

5) CS Quifim > fight easy swarm of mandys

6) CS Feiyin > " By the way, for collecting the seeds of light to get the mark of the seed for the Qu'Bia fight. 5 are upstairs, 4 in the main large rooms, 1 in one of the shadow's rooms. 4 more downstairs, 3 are in small rooms behind doors, 1 in cassie's room. They move at random intervals, but they seemed to stay to fixed areas. Also, collecting them is time based but I never saw more than one warning message about the mark wearing off. And the first time collecting them I went to a lot of dead ends, like walking all the way to the Shiva zone line.

7) BC fight :

The Yagudo is WHM and tried to Shellra IV/Protectra IV.

The Quadav hit reasonably hard and had very strange aggro - when the PLD aggro'd all 4 and I got close to attempt an ES sleepga (which failed), the quad turned to me before I started casting.

The Orc seemed to be a WAR type, hit very hard and fast.

The Goblin's TP move would teleport behind the PLD and do a rush from there to avoid his shield I guess. Very funky.

Questions I have:

1) People are saying after you have the 3 key items from normal gobs, you can get Veridian/Vermillion Key ( which one is correct or is there 2? ) Also what do you do with this key?

2) After collecting light seeds in Feiyin, you can choose Seed ( to continue with missions) or Azure key, what is this key for?

Just tried with 4, didn't go to well. Atonement works well, was chipping 6-7% HP off the Orc everytime. Would have died had the WHM not kept curing.

Goblin is THF, yes. Hate is strange, they bounce around a lot. It's now almost 9am, just wiped with 4 to our second attempt at the BC... think it might be time to sleep soon!

Definitely some screwy hate on the BC NMs, I'm thinking something along the lines of linked hate between the Yag and the Orc, because as soon as I started on Yag Orc went directly for me, even though Isawa had already started on it. No idea about the Quadav and the Goblin, we didn't even manage to finish off one.

The Yagudo spams Cure V on itself, so you need at least one real DD job, preferably more, to take it down quickly. NIN/WAR couldn't take it down fast enough to secure a win on our second attempt.

Noticed something odd about Quadav as well. It would run around the arena chasing the RDM then stop and cast a random debuff on me then return to chasing RDM.

Oh, the Quadav has a nasty move that inflicts Virus + Curse, so have your healers watch out for you if you plan on kiting it.

Goblin has a nasty AoE called Saucepan, I believe. Inflicts -10 to all stats.

Took down the Yagudo first (Samurai 2hr'd). After that we took the Goblin, Orc, and finally the Quadav. WAR and one of the RDMs ended up dying, but it wasn't too difficult. The first time we tried (THFx2, DNC, RDM, RDM, WHM) we didn't have enough damage and hate was everywhere. Hate was still everywhere, but they died to fast for it to matter.

Got my CS with the mandies staring me and lil' aldo down, then it cuts out and when I check the ??? again I get "There is nothing out of the ordinary here." It didn't consume my key items, but it won't pop the mandies when I try. I tried to zone after game day switch and everything also.

Do you need the regular goblin key items still? The grub, etc? I turned them in for a viridian key after i did the 3 goblin nms and ended up getting an oak log from the coffer in tenshodo. If I can't pop it because I didn't have the grub and those other two items.. I'll be upset over losing an hour-or-so trying to pop those mandies over key items I thought were inconsequential after spawning the 3 NMs.

It has some cheap ass moves. Spawned one doppelganger, I thought "this won't be to bad", then it popped out another one. Charm turns you into a mandy and lasts for quite a while. Also drains your abilities, similar to Sandworm.

You do lose key item upon entering, you don't lose EXP in the BC.

Samurai melee attacks were doing from 13 to 110. WSs did from 500 to 600.

The mob's melee attacks were doing 41-150 (not sure what was going on, he had some crits that did 71 and regular attacks that did 160). The AoE attack took 2 shadows and did 200-400 damage.

You can probably repeat it, which is neat, but atm I would keep a set before trying the last fight.
