Low number Dynamis Lord

Our dynamis group averages about 20 members a run. 24 being a max and more likely to be in the 20 member range. We only have 1 KC drk who may or not be able to attend all runs. So the question is, whats the lowest member DL kill you guys know about?

If you don't know of one, could you guys make some "best guess" or suggestion for going about an attempt?

This is an end game shell thats well geared with multiple JoL kills, Ouryu battles, KS99's etc. I know thats nothing to brag about, but just trying to give you an idea of where we're at as a shell.

No question, Blm's are the strength of the shell. Basically every one of them has maxed merits and great gear.

We'll often see about:

5 blm's
2 Brd's
1-2 Rdm's
1 Pld
3 Thf's (use them for TH in each party)
2 Nin's
3-4 Sam's
1 Mnk
1-2 Whm's
1 KC drk (don't count on him)

Most people have multiple jobs and can swap them around. Like bards who have rdm leveled, 1-2 of the nins (depending on who shows up) has rng leveled, etc. Except for the thf's who all seem to be main job thf only players.

Its possible if we really organized to do DL to get some more players out, a couple more blm's or something but assuming this group went with about 20 players, any thoughts?

I know that a common strat is to go in very well balanced but hurry so when you're staring the DL in the face, you all can go change to massive zerg jobs for that end push. Just make sure you all know the way back to him.

I seem to recall reports of people killing DL with as few as 24 people, but you'd need them to be pretty decked I'd imagine, KCs, Ridills, blah blah.

If you can get a full 24 turnout, go for it. If you get lucky with OS spam you might just do it. :D

I think we've done with 23 or 24. 2 of which were kraken DRKs. I wouldn't look forward to consistant kills with a low number setup. The slightest mishap can screw it up. Kraken DRKs do immense damage on it, but a few RNGs should do well too. Id have everyone come high damage melee jobs if they could (MNK/RNG/WAR/DRK seeming to be most effective. A THF to hit feint.

Rangers put some really big numbers up on DL. The smallest number my linkshell has killed with would be, 36, but we have tried with 32, and quite frankly just got unlucky and wipe # like 3%. We dont have any KC drk's tho, but our rangers avg 6-9k each I think on DL.

I couldnt see killing him with under 30 without some serious zerg like kc drks. My linkshell has rly never had more than 40'ish though, killed just last night again, yay for ring lol...

Anyone know how much hp DL has? I've heard around 100k.

Also what kind of numbers do blm's usually put out in this fight? I've only done this in huge groups of 50-60+ and you're lucky to get half your mp drained before its dead.

w/o ES + Therendy probably not as much as a MNK RNG. Angon and Feint are awesome here as with any zerg battle.

Almost all of our mages come one of the above for DL days. We run like 4 BLMs max.

In a single DL fight I used to push out around 7,000 damage or so before he died in groups of 55-64 people. If there was a group of half of that or so I'd guess you could say close below or maybe a little above the 10,000 damage mark by the time it dies. Of course this is assuming you're a taru, if you're any other race your MP is going to cripple you in damage output. Then again without Feint or Angon or bards the melee damage is pretty "lol" too so I guess you can count our buffs just as much as the "standard melee helpers."

Weve done it with under 24 once or twice. Mostly BLM heavy with 1 maybe 2 DRK. We usually only use 1 RDM to stun (me) and rarely ever have a problem. With that list you have above if you could get 1 more DRK with Ridill or KK and a couple more BLM you should be able to handle him with some practice.

Our lowest kill is with 35- 1 KC DRK, 3 MNKs, 3ish RNG, 3 or 4 BRDs, a bunch of DD+BLM, and 6 RDM/DRK. A lot of the crew was green too (their first DL kill).

Think weve done it with =28 or something I dont recall. Was a few kraken drks and we have a reasonable number or ridills kicking about too. Was less than 30, but not a fanatsically low number to be ZOMG worthy.

fairly well, you can get up to 7 WSs off depending on kill time.
