And here we go. Gran Turismo may sell a lot, but good god is it going to get shit on in the ascetics department yet again. Nice to have a game where a Challenger sounds like a Challenger, and not a Prius.

Yep, graphics are only one part of the equation. You can have the prettiest models in the genre, but if your cars sound like wound up rubber bands it kills the immersion.

Graphics also don't mean much when you have 3/4ths of your car line-up consisting of Skylines, your car AI is inferior to PSX's Need for Speed Hot Pursuit, your damage mechanics are inferior, you have absurd pacing in terms of your "cup" design (a fucking 1960's Volkswagen van series? Multiple laps? Required to finish that bracket? You're absolutely goddamned insane, aren't you?) and you refuse to allow people to take the best parts of the internet (designing skins for cars, ect.) and apply them to your game.

I really, really don't want Xbox, but good lord almighty, I wish Forza ported to PC. My PC runs microsoft windows, Xbox! Isn't that enough of your product to play?!

All valid points. I encourage you to check out Project Cars which is being developed for PC (and console I believe) if you haven't already. It looks incredibly promising and should help scratch that racing sim itch for the PC. My only complaint was that the controls felt a little wonky but I was using a gamepad and I probably didn't have the controls calibrated correctly so that's on me.

Race against The Stig

It's the Stig's Digital Cousin! Here's your chance to try and beat him with Forza Motorsport 5...

The Xbox One Super V8 is, if you're unaware, a bit of a beast. Set to compete at the Supercheap Auto Bathurst 1000 this Sunday, this Hulk-green slice of Aussie muscle is seriously bonkers: 640bhp from a 5.0-litre V8, to give a 0-60mph time of 3.3 seconds and top speed of185mph.

It'll be raced by Britain's three-time WTCC champ Andy Priaulx and two-time DTM winner Mattias Ekstrom, but there's one other driver who you'll be able to race against. But he's not The Stig. He's The Stig's Digital Cousin.

Yes, Internet, making his debut in Forza Motorsport 5 is the virtual version of our tame racing driver - though this one's slightly different. He - or it - is allegedly beatable. But only if you're really good. That means you lucky folks who plan on snapping up the shiny new Xbox One and Forza 5 next month will be among the planet's first to take him on.

As you know, Forza 5 will feature the Top Gear test track, rendered in meticulous detail, including the follow-through and Gambon sections. Though the ramshackle shed where we store all of our crisps might not have made the cut.

Still, you'll have in-game commentary from Jeremy, Richard and James on the career modes, and races inspired by Top Gear events, amongst other things.
