    WTB: PS2 FFXI - Vana'diel Collection 2008 or CoP/ToAU/WotG Discs

Looking to buy or borrow the discs for all the expansions for PS2. Just need to download the files, no serial codes needed. Not looking to spend a whole lot and can send the discs back after I download them onto 3 machines. Reply here or in PM. Thanks.

I'll take a peak around my house when I get off my shift tonight.

I know I have the collection somewhere

Instructions are also included in the PS2 archives, which will be visible once you've unzipped them. I recommend the MU links if you're not getting good torrent speeds.

I've also run a torrent and MediaFire site with the files, and a means to install them without a disc. I also know where my 2008 Collection disc is if desired.

Looking to borrow FF11 Collection Discs as well

    Hey guys,

I would like to borrow the discs for PS2 as well. Can anyone help? The torrents are not working for me because all my PS2 stuff is official.

I live in San Jose, CA or if you're not local, I'll pay for shipping to and from your location.

Would really appreciate it if anyone can help

I am pretty sure I have a PS2 with Harddrive with all the expansions except possibly WotG (might even have that, not sure), if anyone wants.

That would awesome if I could just borrow your disks Airenn. Where do you live? Would you allow me to pay for shipping to and from your location?

I am in FL, however, I highly doubt I have the discs. The only reason I have the HD is because my friend had an account and would come to play at my place sometimes. She had the discs and installed. I'll look into what I DO have tonight though. I just know it's a HD preloaded with FFXI already on it.

    Thanks for trying Airenn.

I have everything but the discs lol. That's all I need. I was able to get an HDD Utility disc from Sony so the HD is formatted and ready to go. I've tried a backup with cogswap, but there is a DNAS check mid way and rejects the install. So somehow, I need to get a hold of the discs just for the install ergg.

Can anyone else please share their discs just for about a week?

I didn't even know what CogSwap was until you mentioned it, and I've never used it. Did you try visiting GBATemp or any of the other sites mentioned in the torrent's ReadMe file? More modern means of loading backed up games include Free McBoot, uLoader (there's a version of this for the Wii, too, which complicates Googling), and so on. Unfortunately, one of the sites I used when I originally modded my PlayStation 2 no longer exists, so I can't point you there.

If you're getting an error, it's probably because CogSwap is old and I'd suppose it requires patched discs for proper functionality. I don't know this for certain, but that's my guess. More modern loaders should not require disc patching.

    Hi Kohan,

I use LaunchElf for my memory card exploit, and cogswap just to bypassed the initial disc boot. After that it should function as an official disc. However. when I connect with square to install the software, I think they do an extra disc check, and reject the install. I got "DNAS Error (-402) A PS2 disc information error has occurred.". My system is not modded so I'm not sure what's the deal.

According to what I've read, it looks like patching is indeed your remedy:

The links in the original post don't work, but the discussion is quite long, so working links and/or program names may be buried somewhere within. I unfortunately don't have time to sift through it, but if you don't want to either, I'd recommend either registering and posting there or going to GBATemp to do the same.

Thanks Kohan, but the instructions say that you must insert the original disk (step 3) to copy the disc ID. eerrrgg..... I'm never going get this to work

    I'll get the Disc IDs.

EDIT: I can't promise this will happen today, but I have access to all of the discs and ripped them myself (sans WotG, which was coincidentally on loan to someone at the time -- it's home again), so I can get the IDs. I'll update the thread and torrent descriptions with them as well, since they're not in the TXT file. I'm sure they're already out there on the internet somewhere, but all the PlayStation 2 disc ID databases I waded through didn't have them, so I'll get them myself.

As for my providing the Disc IDs, it'll likely be sometime next week, as I am too busy with work at the moment to do it. In the interim, however, anyone with a modded PS2/memory card and the PS2 discs can do it for you. If they don't in the interim, I still will in a week or so (whether you need them any more by then or not).

I believe there is software with which one can obtain the Disc IDs on a PC rather than a PS2, but I don't have it and cannot currently spend the time tracking it down. What I have only works on the system itself.

Thanks Kohan. So I was able to use windip but the Vana'deil Coll 2008 ISO file that I have does not contain a DNAS.IMC file? So I'm stuck again....I'm supposed to patch the ISO so it bypasses the DNAS check but no luck.
