Sarameya Immune to Elegy?

Ive fought this several times in the past, but for the life of me I cant remember if we brought a brd/blm, or just assumed it was immune. Can anyone comfirm that sarameya is indeed immune to ES elegy?

edit: no SP needed, so you can kinda do 10 battles in less than 1.5-2 hours

I've thought atonement burn might be fun to try, chainspell couldnt be all that troublesome with 9 bodies to divvy up the ga's as well as ramparts to spread around

Wouldn't using Death Blossom make him suceptible to Elegy since Death Blossom's 'Magic Evasion Down' allows enfeebles to stick onm mobs thast are typically immune?

I know this is true and has worked on several HNM. However, messing around with a KV one day we tried this just to see if he could be slept/elegy'd and... nothing. We actually tried it 2-3 times with 300TP. Also tried DB on Khim to see if we could elegy w/o ES and failed at that too. I'm sure other factors are involved but if you can do that tell me if you simply just WS then have someone cast or if everything needs to be perfect (Max CHR, earth day, lol w/e)

Chainspell is actually what is needed for this to work.

Since Sarameya never melees while in chainspell mode, just need to have enough damage to keep it in that mode (since chainspell is triggered by HP%). Just some curagaII spams required for the actual fight.

3 merit parties, with angon & feint (having a few relics wont hurt) will do it easily.

Even with 300% though the magic evasion down doesn't always land. Chance varies with TP. Perhaps it didn't proc?

How much hp does it have, def? Compareable to tp burn kirin in difficulty?

Would assume about half as much HP as kirin if it goes down in 1-2 minutes w/o any 2hours.

Not exactly sure how much healing I would need for this however, would whm/rdm/brd/3DD be superior to rdm/brd/4DD?

I have never tried /blm and ES though, but don't think it's gonna work anyway.

Tinnin definately not immune, ES not even required, land elegy on it just fine brd/whm.

If you're worried about not having enough firepower, you can cut down on the need for elegy by backtanking with a high fire-resisted tank.

We use two pld's, one to grab after Howls and position, one behind:

Tank1 > (Front)Sara(Back) > Tank2

Just unload SATA ws's onto the back tank and you can make the fight extremely manageable. Dangers:

1. All hits from the back are critical hits, but without 3 heads on his back the attacks aren't nearly as fast.
2. Will use scorching lash now...but can easily be handled.

Now BLU's, SAMs, WARs, THFs need not worry about hate as they can all sata the back tank. Tank only needs to worry about survivability since hate will be repeatedly placed on him. Takes a little bit to get the hang of, but extremely reliable once you do.

Side question, but I didn't want to start a new thread. Does Sara have a form of hate reset? Last couple times I fought it it seemed to like to take a walk after it's roar combo was finished. Have other people noticed this at all?
