I haven't actually looked into anything about the new expansion yet, is Abyssea a group event? Basically if I can't get something solo or low man I can't get it at all so I'd have to grab up a Hagun.

Just got asked to join an E.Ron level sync as my MNK ( Lv.78 ).

I do not have any gear of that level other than like Rajas Ring and some misc rare/ex like Emp. Hairpin and Jaegar ring.

How important is gear here? Can I just go in with Black Belt/Usukane/Destroyers/etc..? Will I suck like that? Maybe at least buy a purple belt?

Could someone post an example via link or list of their equip changes for DRK for Dark Magic skill? Trying to get back into this game some and DRK is proving more interesting (And appealing over 6500 amano trials) than SAM. I'd love to make it more workable than it currently is, and its definitely lacking in the Dark Magic skill department.

What Great Axe and Polearm are the best for straight DD to upgrade for WAR and DRG respectively? I just came back to the game and all this Magian stuff is newish to me. The process that is, not the actual stats. I just want to know what I should pursue first.

Which H2H weapons are worth looking at/owning now for monk? Up until recently all my mnk stuff has been from other jobs or stuff I got practically freelot, and I've never really took the time to get to know how H2H works in detail, so I feel a bit lost when deciding which weapons are worthwhile. Are the attacks thrice weapons worthwhile, or is +0 dmg too low? What about the pure damage options, how does the Taipan Fangs

I'm guessing the last upgrade items are drops from walk of echoes. Well, the coins are at least, and as all the trials follow the same pattern it's likely the others are too

What do JPs solo in everbloom with /thf sub?

Hey, I was wondering what some solid ways were to skillup after 75.

I just finished BRD to 80 (only reason I leveled it first is because of the quick invites). I have no problem skilling up wind/string in Besieged, although waiting for a Besieged to happen while I'm online can be a problem... What I'm mainly concerned about, however, is what I'm going to do with things like 25 new Great Axe levels. Unless my EXP parties are capped at something post-75, which is unlikely, it's probably going to get no skillups I sincerely doubt the Steelshells in the Boyahda are going to be worthwhile anymore either as well. What have you guys been doing to keep your weapon skill levels capped?

Now my question is FFXIcalc has my attack speed at the exact same, but is one better than the other? First set has capped haste, second loses 9%. Is there any fundamental differences between these two builds that makes one trump the other? Would doing Suppa/Wyvern Brutal in either combination?

Second question is I know daggers have to go, but is Joy still a viable offhand until the OAT dagger or is there something better to replace it until then?

Don't feel smart enough to answer your gear questions, but regarding Joytoy, I still see it as being viable until you get a multihit dagger.
