    DS games worth getting?

Been relatively behind on hand-held gaming, largely because if I'm going anywhere, I'd be the one driving. Though, I finally got a DS recently, putting my poor GBA to rest. Thing is, I'm not entirely sure what games are out there and worth looking into. If I can help it, I'd like to avoid being forced into using the stylus, but I'd guess some games have it as a requirement.

For the moment, the following are what I have picked up, but might not have played yet:

    Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow
    Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin
    Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia
    Chrono Trigger
    Contra 4
    Dragon Quest IV
    Dragon Quest V
    Etrian Odyssey
    Etrain Odyssey II
    Final Fantasy IV
    Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon
    Soma Bringer
    Suikoden Tierkreis
Valkyrie Profile: Covenant of the Plume

One might guess I lean toward RPGs, but I'll dabble in more action-type games on occasion. I know there are some Mega Man titles floating around, but with the butchering of the X series with all the 3D crap, I'm not really looking to step back to either a kiddy style or super retro.

Nostaliga is pretty fun. Everything about it is pretty generic and slightly corny but I'm enjoying it.
    Bowsers Inside Story is great
aannndd Phantasy Star Zero kept me busy for... ~2 weeks

Ah, a Phantasy Star. Never played the online iteration, but the Sega games were fun.

The Phoenix Wright series is pretty solid overall.

    http://vsrecommendedgames.wikia.com/wiki/Nintendo_DS

Is as usual a good list of DS games. In specific:

Mario and Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story
    The World Ends With You
Advance Wars: Dual Strike/Days of Ruin
Henry Hatsworth in the Puzzling Adventure

Are some good titles similar to the games you've listed. There are plenty more great DS games, but I would need to know more about the sort of games you like. As for Mega Man, Mega Man ZX Advent is pretty good. Its a sequel to Mega Man ZX, which is also on the DS, but I never played that title. It has Mega Man X-style gameplay (wall-kicks and dashes and such) with a kinda-sorta open world thing going for it. You have a little hub base where you can go to each of the separate areas, rather than just selecting them from a select screen. It is pretty animu, though.

Its the only Shin Megami Tensei game I've played, but I enjoyed it a lot.

I'm like in the third chapter of Soma Bringer. Reminds me a bit of Diablo complete with Hirelings that never do what you want them to.

I got the World Ends With You as recommended by a friend, but I didn't really enjoy it. I'm not that far in, so maybe it gets better?

If you're into puzzles/brainteasers, the Professor Layton games are pretty fun.

If you're an importer or can read Japanese and like pokemon games:

    Pokemon SoulSilver/Heart of Gold

Also..World Ends With You, Final Fantasy III, Final Fantasy IV all of the Phoenix Wright games and Yoshi's Island DS (it's not the EXACT same as the SNES one, but it was a good game in its own.)

TWEWY can take awhile to get used to, however it is still pretty fun once you get further in the Shiki chapter.

Another vote for TWEWY. It's one of the few games that truly uses the DS's touch-screen well without making it into a chore or a gimmick, resulting in a unique gameplay experience that still feels comfortable to veteran RPG gamers. I can't praise it enough.

Lots of other games I love but they're almost all on your list already. All I can think of is...

    - Meteos. I don't like puzzle games, and I still loved it. Addicting as hell. Forces you to use the stylus, but it's one of the few that does it so well you forget you're not playing a d-pad game.
    - Kirby's Canvas Curse. No matter how anti-stylus you are, it's worth at least a try. This was the game that hooked me into a buying a DS, it's that good.
    - Puzzle Quest. The ultimate time-killer.
    - Contact. Kinda weird, hard to get into, but very charming in its own strange manner. It's a hit-or-miss sort of game though. More of a download or rental than a must-buy.
    - New Super Mario Bros. This is not optional, I don't care what type of gamer you are, you must play NSMB.
    - Metroid Dread... oh wait
